Wade MacLeod's family issued the following statement on Sunday night:

"We would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming show of support for Wade tonight. Wade is alert, in good condition, in positive spirits, and is resting comfortably at Baystate Medical Center. He will remain at the hospital while he undergoes tests. We are deeply appreciative of all the caring and kind words we have received from family, friends, and fans."

For the record, Columbus/Springfield sent word to the Phantoms stating they had no plans send tape in for the sake of Manning's hit being reviewed. (Not that the league woulnd't have viewed it already.) They essentially said it was just a hockey play nothing malicious.

Talk about a blessing in disguise all of this could be. That could be even what triggered the seizure. Hope the guy can make a full recovery still and get back on the ice.
