Falcons Statement on Wade MacLeod's Condition
Springfield, Mass. - Springfield Falcons forward Wade MacLeod was stable and alert after suffering a seizure following a hit into the glass during the second period of Sunday afternoon's game against the Adirondack Phantoms.
MacLeod was brought by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Players and coaching staffs on each team unanimously agreed to postpone the game. |

For the record, Columbus/Springfield sent word to the Phantoms stating they had no plans send tape in for the sake of Manning's hit being reviewed. (Not that the league woulnd't have viewed it already.) They essentially said it was just a hockey play nothing malicious.

UPDATE, 2/21/13: Statement from family of Wade MacLeod: "Doctors have discovered a benign mass in Wade's brain. He will be undergoing further examination to determine the appropriate treatment. We appreciate the respect of Wade's privacy at this time."

Talk about a blessing in disguise all of this could be. That could be even what triggered the seizure. Hope the guy can make a full recovery still and get back on the ice.
