Barons Assign Tyler Bunz to Stockton (ECHL); Release 2 Others

The Edmonton Oilers re-assigned goaltender Tyler Bunz to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. In a separate transaction, forwards Justin Maylan and Eric Hunter were released from their tryout agreements, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Bunz, the Oilers 5th round selection (121st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, is entering his first pro season. He recently completed a four-season career with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League.

Maylan and Hunter were training camp invitees. Both played in the Barons 4-0 win over the Houston Aeros last night at the Cox Convention Center.
