Albany Names Sergei Brylin Assistant Coach

NEWARK, NJ – Before the first on-ice session of the 2013-14 New Jersey Devils training camp, the organization announced that Sergei Brylin has been named assistant coach for Albany.

Brylin spent his entire 13-year NHL career with the Devils between 1994-95 through 2007-08. He appeared in 765 career regular-season games, which ranks ninth in team history.

No stranger to the Capital Region, the Russian forward had three stints with the Devils AHL affiliate in Albany. He appeared in a combined 150 games, playing during the 1994-95, 1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons.

Brylin joins Head Coach Rick Kowalsky’s staff with assistant coach Tommy Albelin and goaltending coach Dave Caruso.
