AHL Board of Governors Approve Peoria's Transfer of Ownership

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced today that the league's Board of Governors has unanimously approved the transfer of ownership of the Peoria Rivermen franchise to a group headed by Tom Stillman.

The approval comes following the National Hockey League's approval of the sale of the St. Louis Blues to the same group earlier this week.

The Peoria Rivermen have been the Blues' top development team in the American Hockey League since 2005.

Not worried about this, but I'm glad the Opera holdings are in safe hands.

Gotta keep the Fat Lady happy when she sings.
