For Hershey: Jon Kalinski is out with injury. Broken pinky on a blocked shot. He also broke his hand on block shot in preseason last year.

Marc-Andre Bourdon has been sick for the past week or so. He was a late scratch vs. Albany last week and hasn't practiced all week. Terry Murray was asked if it was a concussion and he said he was sick. He won't be in at all this week.

Also, Olli Lauridsen is questionable this weekend or at the least for the first of their 3 in 3 as he had an upper body injury (shoulder I believe) that he missed practice up until yesterday. Idk if he made the trip to Rochester with the team today or not.

They called up Matt Konan who had a bunch of fights over the course of his career in the dub but he wasn't good. Idk if you'd list him or not.

Sadly, Fitzgerald still is skating as the 7th Dman in all of this which is a joke. I don't believe Dimmen is back yet either.

Team captain Jason Jaffray is the latest to go down, joining Jason King, Patrice Cormier, Alex Burmistrov, Eric O’Dell, Hunter Tremblay, John Albert and Travis Ramsey in IceCaps’ infirmary.

Cormier, who has started only three games this season before being sidelined by knee surgery, was cleared for contact in practice this week. Cormier had a setback Thursday, although there’s a hope he may play in one of the two games against the Falcons.

Either way, Cormier is ahead of schedule. It was originally thought the robust forward from New Brunswick would be ready until after Christmas.

O’Dell (ankle) and Ramsey (broken finger) skated Thursday in red. O’Dell may suit up for one game, but Ramsey will be a scratch.

Wingers Tom Kuhnhackl and Keven Veilleux did not practice Thursday due to injury.

Hynes said Kuhnhackl will be out "for a while" with an upper-body injury. Kuhnhackl missed time last year with a knee injury and three years ago with shoulder problems, but Hynes said his current situation is not related to those.

Veilleux, who continues to recover from knee surgery that sidelined him last season, is expected to miss about two weeks.

"It's nothing serious," Hynes said. "We had to rest him a little bit to give him a chance to be back over Christmas. Not a new injury."

Right wing Jordan Szwarz, who has missed three games because of an upper-body injury, also is making the trip, but Edwards doubted the second-year pro would see any action.

"Now, he's probably more day-to-day instead of week-to-week," the coach said, "but I don't see him playing Friday or Saturday's games."

Ben Holmstrom left tonights game in the third period with what looked to be a leg injury.

Per the Phantoms beat writer after the game a source says it's a lower body injury that is expected to keep him out an extended period of time.

(I'm going out on a limb and guessing it's a knee.)

Tough break for the #Flyers: #ADKPhantoms captain Ben Holmstrom is out indefinitely with a knee injury. Awaiting test results for severity.

Good news for fight fans is that coach Murray said they don't plan to call anyone up to replace them because they can use Ford, Testwuide, or Fitzgerald as forwards.

Fitzgerald played vs Providence I believe as the forward in place of him and Murray seemed in an interview a couple weeks ago like he wants to get Fitzgerald in the lineup more and this could be his way of doing it. Would be a good boost to a group that suddenly went lifeless after a good 10 game string last month.

Marc Andre Bourdon's injured I'm pretty sure. And I'm willing to bet it's Post Concussion Syndrom. It sounds a lot like what happend with Pronger with an "illness."

Regardless the official word is he's out all weekend and seeing the doctor soon...maybe even yesterday per bob rotruck.

ALBANY, NY –– Albany Devils General Manager Chris Lamoriello today issued the following statement in regard to defenseman Matt Corrente:

“Yesterday, Matt underwent successful surgery on his shoulder. As a result, he is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season.”

Corrente suffered the injury in last Sunday’s game against the Connecticut Whale at XL Center.

Worcester has lost another one to injury, Sena Acolatse, who was hurt in the Hershey game Saturday night and did not play here on Sunday afternoon. Acolatse thought he would be able to go, coach Roy Sommer said, and skated in the pre-game warm-ups but it turned out he could not play.

Danny Groulx, Matt Irwin, Taylor Doherty and Nick Petrecki are all on the injured list along with Acolatse.

Three front-line players, led by wonky defenceman Jake Gardiner, will be out of the lineup until after Boxing Day.

Gardiner has the most serious injury, still bothered by a very sore neck and some headaches more than a week after being hit from behind in a game against Rochester. He played the next shift and scored, but departed the match.

Also in the doubtful category for another week are forwards Nazem Kadri (hip flexor injury) and veteran Mike Zigomanis (shoulder).
