IceHogs to Have All Games Televised Live in 2012-13
Rockford, Ill.- The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, in conjunction with 23-WIFR, announced a partnership that will televise all 76 regular season and all additional postseason contests live on 23.2, (23 Weather Now) for the 2012-13 regular and postseason.
The partnership marks the first time in the IceHogs’ 14-year history that every game will be broadcast live on television. “23 Weather Now” is available to all Comcast Cable subscribers (Comcast Cable channel 436 in the Rockford market). Check local cable listings for “23 Weather Now” channel availability.
“This is a ground breaking partnership and we are excited to provide our fans with an opportunity to watch every IceHogs game, whether it’s at home or on the road,” said RAVE’s Executive Director Gordon Kaye. “We’ve had a great relationship with 23 WIFR for the past 13 years and this joint venture with AHL Live will give viewers unique, local programming on 23 Weather Now.”
All game feeds will be provided by AHL Live and will still be available, along with the radio broadcasts, online through AHLlive.com. Each broadcast will feature a 15-minute pregame show featuring an interview with IceHogs Head Coach Ted Dent, interactive intermission segments and a 10-minute postgame show recapping the game.
Mike Peck returns for his 11th season as the voice of the IceHogs and will provide play-by-play for all regular season and postseason contests on “23 Weather Now.”
The IceHogs kick off their 14th season of professional hockey in Rockford and sixth as the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Allstate Arena against the Chicago Wolves at 7 p.m. Rockford’s home opener is slated for Saturday, Oct. 20 at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers.
All AHL games should be televised since there won't be any NHL hockey.
that will happen when pigs fly and east coast teams willingly travel west to play games...considering how much it costs unless a team goes the cheap route like rockford, it'll never happen. so just give up.
TVA Sports Announced as French Broadcaster of Bulldogs' Games
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League and TVA Sports announced today that the Canadian network has been named the Official French Language Television Broadcaster of the Hamilton Bulldogs, and will produce and air Bulldogs games beginning with the 2012-13 season.
The first TVA Sports broadcast will be on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. ET as the Bulldogs – top development club of the Montreal Canadiens – face off against the Toronto Marlies, the top affiliate of the Maple Leafs, at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.
Future broadcasts will be announced at a later date.
Play-by-play for Bulldogs games will be handled by the well-known, experienced team of commentator Michel Langevin, analyst Yvon Pedneault and reporter Enrico Ciccone.
“The American Hockey League has long had a terrific fan base in Quebec and among all of French-speaking Canada,” said David Andrews, AHL President and Chief Executive Officer. “I am certain that TVA Sports viewers will enjoy seeing the Canadiens of the future in action today.”
“With this new agreement, TVA Sports is proud to provide fans with high-level professional hockey starting in October,” said Pierre Dion, President and CEO of the TVA Group. “Up-and-coming Canadiens talent will be showcased early on in the Bulldogs’ season, and this agreement allows fans to follow the progress of future NHL stars such as Louis Leblanc, Brendan Gallagher, Nathan Beaulieu and Jarred Tinordi.”
Sweet, I think I get this channel on Bell ExpressVu. Not sure though. I know I get RDS which shows all Habs games. Hopefully they show a lot of games. I've never really had access to much in the way of AHL games on TV. The 'Dogs for the first time in a while have a lot of intriguing prospects set to lineup for them this year too.

ill post new additions when they are announced by ahl as they come along with national games (updates a day or two prior)
This is like watching triple A baseball. I enjoy hockey but I'm not interested in watching minor leaguers while the professionals are elsewhere. Give me NHL'ers or nothing.
By the way, these guys are professionals.
hopefully nhl network picks up some games, so tired of these repeated games from the past !!
