2009-10 Clear Day Rosters

The American Hockey League has released the Clear Day Period lists for each of its 29 member clubs.

Each Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2009-10 AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

so basically mirasty cant play the rest of the season?so we'll miss out on him hopefully beating on robitaille,westgarth,macintyre,greenop...who on the crunch will go all the time now...no one...well get a few from liffiton, sestito, harvey at best

he can still play when guys who are on the list are injured or called up...and considering that most teams have numerous guys called up/injured he will play some but it'll all depend on the jackets

Like chilly said, Mirasty can replace an injured player. MacKenzie is out for the rest of the season so that opens a spot for Mirasty to play.

Isn't the rule a non clear day player can only be added when 3 roster players are either called up or injured?

i don't think so cause the extra guys stay on the active roster anyways even though they aren't on the clear day

The extra guys are considered 'In Residence' I believe, but only guys on the clear day roster can play from here on unless the rule of 3 can be applied. Maki is an example of this since 3 guys on the Ads clear day are in Nashville right now and he played last night. ATO's are exempt from this rule also.
