What game are you currently playing?

downloaded the trial for Tony Hawk tonight. boy, am i glad i am such a grumpy **** when it comes to gaming today because it ruined my anticipation for this game. played it today and i'm damn happy my anticipation was ruined and i didn't even get a full 2 minute run!

controlled awful, no revert, the screen flashes white every time you bail, and (maybe this is how it was back in the day, but i can't recall) you can't do double kickflips, triple heel flips, etc.

did not enjoy it one bit and i am glad.

i am completely addicted to Tiger Woods right now. ****ing in love.

started playing Toy Soldiers again. awesome game.

and i just finished season 2 of MLB 12. hit .369 with 96 (HA!) homers. hahahaha. it was a blast. now i'll pump up the difficulty a bit and play for real.

i rented Spec Ops: The Line. it's okay so far. it was terrible on the the third tier of difficulty because your A.I. would just run in to gunfire and ruin everything, but i put it back to "normal" and it seems to be way better. you still get shot a lot and your team does too, but it's not immediate and you can at least attempt to save your boys now.

94 percent done with Lego Batman. loved it, but it's a grind now.

still playing Tiger Woods off and on. got really good on normal difficulty, but Tour Pro is kicking my ass right now.

anyway, that's the boring stuff.

i had 80 points left, so i went indie game shopping. i bought a game called Dead Pixels and it is awesome! it's Left 4 Dead, but it looks like an old school SNES game.



it has RPG-esque elements and that actually makes it even better. you just run forward and shoot ****, but you actually have to use your money wisely on upgrades, ammo, weapons and stuff. you find a lot of stuff that you can trade too.

Vanquish is such a good game. Best 15 dollars I ever spent on a game. I found running Sim City 4 in compatibility mode reduces the crashes in windows 7, for me anyways. Game gets unstable if I add a buttload of mods though. I run Nam, Quadruple Industry, Money tree, and the one with raised growth is pretty much what I run these days.

I'm thinking the mods may be a problem.

I have a ton. A bunch of new landmarks, puzzle sets to make my own parks, different types of roads and highways as well as mass transit, new building designs, etc.

Mods are a killer, a lot of compatibly issues between mods. Delete a lot of the small time mods and you should see some improvement. i stuck with the big time modders to help with the compatibly. I used to be huge on mods but it gets to be a pain after a while. No curved roads and horrible travel paths killed the game for me. I love to sprawl lol. Now I just dick around from time to time. CitiesXL is pretty fun, on a much smaller scale then SimCity4.

Damn, I thought I got the steal of the century when I picked up NCAA 12 last week for $10 at Best Buy!

Anyway, haven't been playing much of anything lately. Started playing a bit of NCAA 12 and I played a bit of the Sims 3 on Xbox (not my preferred way to play, but it won't work on my laptop and it was only $10).

And of course, Mario Kart 7 against Antonio.

I got it!

Its ok... Buy a used copy if you can get your hands on it. Lots of the game is the same as 12. I never had any freezing issues on the PS3... not yet, anyway.
