i bought Dead Rising 2 today. have been playing that online with The Woodsman. pretty fun.

playing a lot of Trials Evolution and Hot Shots too.

when i was buying DR2, i bought a USB SNES controller... how did i live without this thing?! i just downloaded a NHL 94 rom with 2012 rosters. i'm ****ing in love. the controller was spendy though and it's right on the d-pad leaves a lot to be desired. oh well. i might try and take it back tomorrow and see what they can do for me.

it's a "Retrolink". it's definitely not the best one out there, i'm sure, but i bought it because i traded in several games to get Dead Rising 2 and still had some money left over. i had been eying it for a while, so i figured, why the **** not? oh, and i got it at a local Gamestop-esque store, but it was brand new.

I have a Retrolink as well.

You're right, thruby, the d-pad can be a little wonky sometimes, but I still think it's a pretty solid controller. Plus, it was only $10 on Amazon for me.

Playing NHL 12. I finished my yearly off season create a player bonanza in the game and now have 150 NHLers from the 80's and 90's in the game as well. I did a fantasy draft, fixed a few teams up, and away goes my fantasy season. It takes a sh1t ass load off time to make everyone, but F*CK IS IT AWESOME AFTER. nhl 12 be a pro with my super goon dman on Nashville about to start the finals against the Flyers. I'm a little disappointed, the only team to give me a problem was Edmonton in the first round then I swept LA and the Sharks. LA were some close games but I destroyed San Jose.

My BF3 drive has kind of died down now that there is nothing left to accomplish in it, it's getting somewhat boring, so I only play if a friend wants me to join them.

I was really wanting to get into Dwarf Fortress, it's complicated as fuck and looks like shit if you aren't used to ASCII graphics, but everyone who actually plays it always raves about how awesome it is. Downloaded 'Lazy Newb Pack', which should help with the learning curve, and have been watching some of the tutorials to give it a try. Unfortunately with D3 coming out soon I doubt I will be able to really get into it.

So who on here is getting D3? My roommate won't shut the fuck up about it and is actually taking Tuesday off from work so he can crack out on it. Some people I know online are actually taking the whole week off and have food stockpiled nearby their computer. I'm definitely going to get it and will probably sink a lot of hours into it, but I don't think I will take it that far.

There's no goal to Minecraft really. You just fight monsters, mine for rare materials like obsidian, gold, and diamond and build things and explore.

As for me, I've been playing some Minecraft lately. Just finished building my house after spending at least a week of game time mining for iron, gold, and other goodies. I'm going to start making a farm and growing some wheat and sugar now!

this did not help me at all. hahahaha. so, you played the demo first, right? what do i do in there? i can't really "explore", i don't see any monsters, i couldn't build ****, i dug some holes and had plenty of dirt. i also found a fishing pole and a boat, but i found no fish.

Play the tutorial. Karate chop a bunch of trees and get a lot of wood .

Then craft that wood into planks. Then take those planks and make a crafting table. Then go to the crafting table and make a pick, an axe, and a sword (and I guess a shovel too). Then start building **** and wait for night to come!

Minecraft MAY not be for everyone!

Also, there's a really good Minecraft tutorial on Youtube that would be very helpful. I'll find the link.
