That's the worst when you get the Red Ring a day you get a game.

That happened to me 2 years ago when I bought NHL 09. I played one game and then it froze .

At least Microsoft seems to be fixing these red rings faster now. My first red ring took practically a month to get back, but my last one only took 2 weeks.

words cannot express how much i disliked Chinatown Wars... i've been playing every GTA since the first one (yes the crappy overhead 2d on PC) and this "throwback" feel just wasn't up to snuff as far as i'm concerned... i didn't play it through because of this (which along with GTA IV are pretty much the only ones i have never 'finished' as per say, as GTA 1 and 2 didn't really have an ending.)

*EDIT*

no, that's not all. you know how they had the T.E. edition back in the day? well this one should be called "NBA JAM: yeah we know it's really just an arcade game, but we'll throw in some of the most time consuming achievements ever, to give the illusion of replayability. you don't like that? well, we already have your money"

it sure doesn't ring like tournament edition, but by god, it's a lot more fitting. this game got old 50 games ago, now it's pulling ****ing teeth.
I agree. Ive got every trophy (Ive got a PS3) except the "Win Classic Campaign with every western team", "NBA Domination" and obviously the platinum "Boomshakalka".

I only have to win 1 more classic campaign to get everything, but your right, looking back, its consumed way to much time to get where I am. Its not only the time though, its because the classic campaign is so fukin repetitive and boring, I wonder why I keep going. If I knew it was going to be like this, I never would have started my goal to get the platinum trophy for this game.

Its like when you have a discount card for buying a certain type of food, and on the 12th purchase, you'll get one free. And you know after about the 7th or 8th purchase that you dont want to keep going, but you've already started and almost there, so you have to slug it out.

I wonder when people online see that I got the platinum trophy in NBA Jam, if I will be respected or pitied.

I guess only time will tell.

Really?!?

I think its a pretty good game for a the psp. Sure it has its quirks and glitches, but I enjoy playing it!

Some of the overhead views get blocked out by buildings and stuff, but Im usually pretty quick to get out of there. The weapon ammo is a bit of a joke, but I manage. The drug dealing is fun too...

this is the best analogy for NBA Jam ever. i agree completely. i even read about a way to boost the games and i still can't do it. even watching the computer win games got old.

not if you want the achievements. if you want to play it, i'd find a place that rents it for a week, play it solely with friends (way more fun than against the computer, just like the old days) and then return it.

just to get the three classic campaign achievements you have to play 222 games...

222!

that's not mentioning all the other games you'll play in the other modes for achievements.

Each game in classic campaign takes about 15 minutes to play and there is no way around this. You might be able to shave off a minute, but whatever...

So 222 games/15 minutes a game = 55.5 hours of game play! Just for the classic campaign trophies!

ugghhhhhhhhhh, looking at that number..........

I think Im going to be sick

to each their own, if you enjoy it, great, i just couldn't stand it at all... which is why i'm glad i never actually bought it... gotta love a hacked PSP for that.

Also, anyone else with a PSP do yourself a favor and avoid the Assassin's Creed game for it... took me about 5 hours to beat.... got stuck on the last mission, restarted from scratch and cleared the whole thing in about 2 and a half hours.. complete utter disappointment.

I tried replaying Soul Blazer on my SNES Roms, but that got side tracked when my laptop died on me. Serves me right, I suppose, even though I own the original cartridge, too.

Right now I'm playing Scribblenauts on my DS. I love that game. You basically think of whatever noun comes to mind, tap it in, and the game has a playable object for it. You can solve puzzles by creating a tornado, a ladder bridge, a helicopter...hell, I typed in "Hydra" and "Cthulu" and got monsters that killed all my enemies for me!
