Nostalgic Video Game Music from your childhood

Twisted Metal 2 Theme

Metal Gear Solid Caverns Theme

Donkey Kong 64- OST - DK Isle Main Theme

Smash Bros. Melee Fire Emblem Theme

These 4 probably defined my childhood.

If we're going all the way back to being a kiddie it's all NES music for me. The NES library is endless.

This is going off in my head about 50% of my conscious hours to this day.

Tetris: Music 1 (NES, 1989) - YouTube

Then Mega Man 2 was a lot of hours as a wee lad. And really underrated top to bottom ever song.

Megaman 2 Music Full OST Soundtrack Part 1/2 -...

Megaman 2 Music Full OST Soundtrack Part 2/2 -...

Sadly a lot of the best NES music I didn't appreciate until I was an adult.

Blaster Master (NES) Music - Area 1 - YouTube

Then I always gotta give a shoutout to the two Eartworm Jim's soundtrack in any VG music thread. Well just it's sound quality in general of the game.

Earthworm Jim 2 - Puppy Love [Genesis] Music -...

Sonic CD might be the only more technically awesome sound production of the era.

Sonic Boom - Opening Sonic CD - YouTube

Sonic CD (USA) Music: Boss - YouTube

Every big budget video game these days seems to have a philharmonic orchestra in the background, but that can't compare with the dinky sine waves of Megaman 2. Kudos to Nick for not being 13 years old.

This is one of the most beautiful and well-constructed tracks ever produced on a cartridge...
