well van Riemsdyk is a winger so his faceoffs is probably really low

Ok so I must be really doing something wrong because I put Connolly as my #1 and switched Van Riemsdyk to 2nd line RW. So I had all natural centers and still finished the next game winning only TWO faceoffs.

with the right stick, hold to 3 or 9 o'clock and then to 6 when it's dropped. it is a hard to time it right, just play around with it. I never play center because I am not typically good.

I have better luck on faceoffs when I press forward and tie up the other team's center, my wingers actually pick it up before theirs do a lot of the time, unlike NHL12

so far I have very few complaints about the game, I'm about 60 games deep in my dynasty with a play one, sim one, play one, sim one rotation like I always do.

but **** man, every single time I sim a game I ALWAYS have an injury and I never get injuries when I actually play (very rarely, maybe twice in 30 games). It's always the same guys/positions too. Grabovski, Connolly, Bozak, or Gardiner, Gunnarson, Liles.... always my LD and C who get injured. it's really annoying.

also, I don't know how the potential is going to work out in this game obviously since I'm only in year 1 but I hope it's better then years past.... I remember playing NHL games back in 04-07 and my prospects would actually get noticeably better year after year but lately it seems like I'm lucky if they gain 1 point overall. In NHL12 I was 5 years deep and I think Kadri went up like 4-5 points all that time...

The young players can jump A LOT, if you play them a lot. If you give them first or second line time in the NHL you'll see a big jump. If they're in Jr's/AHL its not as big. Your assistant GM also effects how much their stats increase as well.

I used to always play guys who were borderline NHLers in the NHL...I didn't really see an increase in stats from it though

If you are only playing them on the 3rd or 4th line in the NHL then your better off, leaving them in jr or the top line in the AHL. Also like I said the assistant gm does play a pretty big role in player growth.

If you've been doing it that way and still haven't seen any growth then i'm not sure what to tell you, as my players progress nicely in my GM mode careers.

If it comes down to it, you can decrease the difficulty of faceoffs without decreasing the difficulty of the overall game.

I'm seeing some minor inconsistancies with Be a Pro. While I'm playing a game, I use the 'simulate to next shift' option for whenever I'm on the bench or in the box, but throughout the game, they will not keep track of all the penalties while it's being simulated. For example, I was on a PK, and it said the other team was 4-for-2 on the PP. What? It's only counting the penalties I was on the ice for, none while being simulated. Another thing is my goalie wins and losses. My London Knights are 11-5 right now, but Michael Houser has on only 7 wins and 4 losses. My backup is 1-1. It doesn't add up. Also, Cody Sol leads the league in PIM with 100 in only 15 games. I'm next with 74. Next is Derek Mathers with like 60 or something, then it really drops off into the 30s, 20s, and teens.

Just minor inconsistancies as I said, but still annoying.

I think that's pretty damn realistic.

I don't. If Kadri can't crack 80 overall when he's like 26-27, who's supposed to for the Leafs prospects? If I fit realistic prospects who should be with the Leafs in 4-5 years my line up would be filled with high 60's and low 70's
