Yes, the referee can be unlocked.

The key is speed, just like a brawl, try pressuring the opponent which will prevent him from attacking.

It does take a few fights to get used to it, try learning some of the combos, those make a pretty big difference as well since damage is increased at every hits.

Let me know if you guys have any comments or suggestions. Like things you would like to see in the future; a practice mode, goalies etc. We will be doing updates; adding new content and features. You can post ideas here or by sending me a PM.

Thanks for your support and please take a min to leave a review on Itunes.

The game is already #30 in Sports on the US store, and holding the 4th position in Sports on the Canadian App Store.

Happy fighting!

Hockey Fight Lite is now available for FREE worldwide on the Android Marketplace and Apple App Store. The Lite version includes several opponents to fight against. It also allows you to upgrade your player’s attributes the same as the Pro version. The game just launched and already reached the Top 10 rank in the Sports category in several countries.

The game is rough and the stakes are high. Fueled by pride or desperation, when it’s game time, nothing else matters. Once the players are ready to engage, they are bound for an altercation. Hockey Fight Lite is the only hockey fighting game available on the mobile platform. Compete with thousands of users from different platforms including iOS and Android.

love the game! I don't see any real difference in the hardcore mode though. Anyone know what the difference is?

Glad you like the game! For the Hardcore mode, the opponents should be about twice as hard. Also the rewards when completing a tournament is twice as much Respect Points.

Would love to see customizable things...like face/jersey/# or the ability to make/name own fighter.

Would love to see goalies. That would be awesome and I agree with the other post, being able to change player features would be cool as well but goalie fights would be my #1 choice.
