This has been the downfall of gaming since xbox and PS live came out. Those c0cksuckers would rather your buddy sit all the way at his house, or bring his xbox to your house and link them together, rather than just allowing a buddy to come over and play.

I hate it. They seem to have forgotten that people have friends in real life, and maybe some of us don't always to play with someone via system link. Seems like sports games are the only games that continuously allow it now.

i agree 100%. i hate the fact that publishers leave this out. if i want to game with my buddy, i want to be on the same couch, talking **** over. i don't care about playing AGAINST each other in person, but i much, much prefer co-op to be on the same couch.

considering the box says Co-op 2-4, online co-op 2-4 and system link 2-4 this confuses people into saying it is co-op offline... only it isn't at all... maybe they should patch it in, or change the info on the box.. i played it a bit today (a few mins) very awesome looking game, i will eventually get it, but can't right now.

I never understood why games don't add in local co-op when they already have online co-op. Is it that difficult to add split screen to a game?

It's a shame, but hopefully the game is good.

I'm guessing they have a deal with the console makers so they want you to buy the on-line membership.
