Are they mutually exclusive? A tough guy should be douche bag.I never hear anyone complain about Dave Brown's cross check to Sandstrums head or the savage beating he gave Kyte while on top of him.

Who wants a nice, polite tough guy? Not me. I like my tough guys mean and a bit crazy.

Sure, but excuse myself and others when we don't shed a tear when he takes a stick across the head.

It's funny how you some of the Brash homers will applaud him for this, then cry foul when McSorely is brought up.

I never condoned what Brown did to Sandstrom even though Sandstrom was a p.o.s.........that was 25 years ago, knuckle violence without sucker punches from behind are part of the sport, not this crap, this type of stuff takes the game back in time.....even if he called him a racial slur, break his jaw head on, dont sucker the guy from behind but judging how Brashear couldnt even get a punch off in that resulting fight?? this looked to be his only option.

Still cowardly as expected.

I would say this is much worse than what Roch got

Donald Brashear vs. Ian Laperriere - YouTube

This was fun too

Brashear nasty hit on Blair Betts - YouTube

Donald Brashear crushes Shane Hnidy with one...

A hockey goon goons someone, and hockeyfights.com is filled with whining. So sad.

The guy was looking at Brash and knew he was coming. He could have done something to try to protect himself, but instead he turned away like a f*cking b1tch hoping Brashear would just leave him alone. I guess he thought The Don was just coming over to chat. I guess he thought wrong.

EDIT:

And what's with his teammate in front of the net? He likley knew what Brashear was up to as well. His reaction was to do absolutley nothing. Hockey players who play that way deserve to get treated that way.

the LNAH is a crazy league. With the lockout, I spent more time watching those fights.

I love hockey fights, always have but this was a carbon copy of the Bertuzzi-Moore incident and that kid never played again......now THAT IS SAD!

It was cowardly, no one likes a coward......do they??

Drama queen much? He barley hit the guy, especially for Brashear's standards. Hump posted some clips. Watch Brashear socking Sugar Shane Hnidy while looking him square in the eyes, and then tell me which victim you'd rather be? Hnidy, or the guy in this "carbon copy of the Bertuzzi-Moore incident?"

Who played the role of "coward" here anyways? Brashear for throwing a "sucker punch?" Or the guy who looked at Brashear twice, knew he was coming, and still turned away instead of defending himself? Who's the coward there? How about his teammate? The guy who knew what Brashear was up to, yet waited until AFTER he punched the guy to do anything. Would you be happy if you were his teammate?
