Regarding 2K6...
Quote:
The controls are smooth and easy to use and the sound is nothing short of amazing with the broadcasting comments being so deep, it actually feels like you are listening to a live televised game.
Maybe after playing only 1 game, but after a few the commentating becomes boring and annoying. It's the same comments but with a different players name subsituted.

And while I'm griping about 2K6...When will this company put out a game that will let you play more than 1 season without locking up and having to start over from scratch.
I've been playing these games from 2K and up and every year it's the same thing.
Charge me 49.99 if you have to, but give me a game that won't freeze!
IMO it's only good for exhibition games, and 1 season at the most. Forget trying to play the franchise mode for more than 1 or 2 seasons.

I rented it and only played a handful of games so that may be why I think that. Then again I've been buying the EA Sports series since 1997, I'll take anything rather than their announce team. Hughson is great in real life but they need to go deeper with the material...

I don't think there's any game that does have repetitive announcing after a while. Most real life games don't either...

You must have a lemon. My games has never freezed more than maybe once or twice. And it was during a game when it happened. The most years I've played in franchise mode was probably six or so. And the off season is great and very in depth.

The off season's are really good, but in every game i've owned all the way back to 99 on the DreamCast, and the rest on PS2, the game will end up locking and freezing at some point. Maybe I keep picking the bad disk off the shelf.
I think I'm gonna get it for the PC next year and see if it's any better.

I have NHL 06 and NHL 2K6 and I find major flaws in both of them. In NHL 06, it is way to easy to score and the goals are almost always the same type. 2K6 is better in that sense, but the graphics are not that good and there is not managing involved. Overall, I would like EA sports to make a game as good as they make the Madden games. The managing that you are able to do with your team is unbeliavable! If they dont want to do it because not that many people buy the game, have a Canadian gaming company come up with a good hockey game.

EA Sports' NHL is developed by EA Canada in Vancouver.

i know what you mean. i rented nhl 2k6 for 360 and it kept freezing unless i took the hard drive out. i liked 2k5 a lot though. but the music in 2k6 is the same as in 2k5 and im talking about just the artists, but the songs. i don't like the announcers in 2k6. i liked gary thorne and bill clement in 2k5. in 2k7, i want mike emerick and JD as an announcers and they should have an ice-level reporter, but not pierre mcguire or cammi granato. i would want joe micheletti.

Unfortunately there is no PC game for 2k6 and there are no intentions of making one anytime soon to my knowledge.

i want a game where you can have more than 3 fights a game and a game where 3 fights per game for the same player gets you a misconduct...oh and a game that you can decide for real when you fight...even if it is an instigator button
