And rightfully so. Except in the goaltending department, they're pretty much on par with the Canadians. Their top 2 lines should strike some fear into some teams defense.

I disagree with the US at #3. I'd say Finland and the Czech's should be ahead of them. Maybe he put them so high because the US should get an advantage from playing on smaller ice. This is a hard list to generate with so many good players playing on most of the teams.

Sweden has an amazing roster. Sundin,Forsberg,Alfreddson,Naslund? It doesn't come much more talented than that my friend.

Usa has never had a good national team in hockey except the 1980 olympics and the 1996 World cup.

I suppose picking up the silver in the 2002 Olympics didn't mean anything either?... The US is just fine, although I think they should have brought in more young players.

Then there was the "under 21" (I think???) cup last year. The USA won the gold over Team Canada.

That team was also captained by Mark Stuart, A Bruin.

Yes, the US team won the Juniors tourney last season. However, it'll be a while before a chunk of them play for the national team. Still - it's a good-looking future.

I was talking about gold medals.
Second place is first loser.
But,they have a good team.
I like all the teams (except Germany) when all the best players are there.

Czech republic can't be behind Slovakia, Finland and even USA.

They deserve the third if not the second spot.

Sweden has a great roster as usual and as usual they are soft like butter.
