Very informative piece. I really enjoyed reading it and I kind of expected that stuff to happen when a NHL player who is getting paid millions to play goes down to a league where he is only making about $2,400.00 a month

I am really suprised to see that Morrow has been able to make it as long as he has.

He seems to be really happy in Oklahoma City with the Blazers though. I went up there to watch the San Angelo Saints play them and I got to visit with him before the game and he said to me that he was happy that he was getting to play hockey.

Which is always good to hear from a player who isn't just doing it for the money.

That's a very generous guess by you, but most players are probably making closer to $350 a week.

I am sorry, I meant to say that they are only making that a month.

That is if they are the highest paid player in the CHL on their respected team.

Awesome job Sarah. A great perspective on the frustrations that NHL fans are feeling all over.

I hate to see that the NHL is having a lockout and that it has lasted as long as it actually has lasted.

But some stuff just needs to happen to put everything back together again. But I don't know if the NHL will ever be the same again.

I think that there are going to be so many pissed off NHL players in the end of this thing that they will not want to play here anymore.

Who knows though? I mean, I just hope that it is around next year.

This was a very good read and to the person who wrote it, good job!

I think that this has to be one of the more in-depth stories that I have been able to find in quite sometime. It has a lot of good parts in it and it keeps you entertained throughout the whole entire piece.

As far as the NHL having the lockout and players moving down to lower league play and pay as well. I think that they should be happy they can do something like that. I know that the CHL will only allow one NHL player on a team. I guess that is why you didn't see more then 1 on each CHL team this year. Although there were only 2 of them in the league, Brenden Morrow and Brad Lukowich, I am surprised to see that both stuck around as long as they did.

Lukowich was having a better season then Morrow was. But after talking to Morrow a few weeks ago, he is really happy to be playing hockey and he realizes how lucky he is to be doing that. He also told me that he was happy to be in Oklahoma City with the Blazers. He said that all the fans are great and there isn't one night that he doesn't have to be stopped or asked to sign an autograph and he does it proudly everytime.

That is the type of guys that we need in the NHL. Not these types that think they need an extra $4 million a year to pay off something they shouldn't have bought.
