Q & A: Eric Cairns

Q & A: Eric Cairns

The videos page contains a number of Cairns clips.

Eric was great to talk to. There was a ton I could have asked, but I ate up a good amount of his time as it was. Not that I would have thought of it all as I did this groggy in the morning

Excellent read, much like the Parker interview.
Very candid about his views. No softball answers and he is all about the code. Man, he doesn't like Dale.

Excellent read David!

Great read.

I am very happy about the fact that he has no respect for Purinton.

Cairns seems like a very nice, humble guy.

Awesome article! Thanks a ton VF. I personally admired EC's honesty as far as the Purinton incident goes... It's no surprise that Cairns favorite fighter is Probie. We all could see the simalarities between Cairns t2t throwing bombs style, easily rivalving Probie's. Thats why Cairns is my fave! Btw I also liked when he said he "Wont turtle". Kinda speaks about his character.

Well written, and some great responses from Mr. Cairns.

A big thank you to Mr. Cairns for taking the time to answer these questions, and a big thanks to Vodka for doing yet another great interview.

another interesting point that Cairns made was the rangers coaching philosophy on fighting by saying they teach "not to get hit the face" or take the big shot. obviously a few of the ranger fighter produced the last few years really like to hold and grapple instead of letting them fly (i.e langdon, Purinton.). Id disagree with the rangers coaching, although taking a huge tko might hurt team moral, I think when enforcing nothing energizes the team more than having a guy that goes out there throwing with bad intent

Nice article, I've always liked Eric, he seems like a very nice guy.
2 bad he's great scrap with Worrell from a few seasons ago wasn't included in the video page.
By the way I played in a try out camp with his old club (Compuware Ambassadors) a few seasons ago

Once again, excellent article. At first I thought he was taking the politcally correct route with his response to the Brashear question but after reading his comments about Purinton I have to believe all of his answers were honest. Thanks for the interview Mr. Fish.
