Prediction time!

Magee/Kessler = KO win for Kessler. Too much of a difference in class. Magee having a belt is a joke, and he'll be hammered out like the B-rate club fighter he is.

Walters/Prescott = who cares. It's a fight for a "title" simply because the WBA wants another guy who fights primarily in Panama to have a title. **** the fight.

There is some solid action in England though. James DeGale and Darren Barker both will be on the cards.

Onto the HBO PPV card...
-Javier Fortuna (20-0, 15 KOs) vs. Patrick Hyland (27-0, 12 KOs) - for vacant WBA interim featherweight title
*Prediction*
Give me Fortuna by decision. Hyland has a good chin, and can take some shots, so I'm thinking Fortuna will see only his 6th card reading. It'll be some what competitive given the make up of Hyland's style. But, Fortuna has the tools to match and should come away with his hand raised.

-Miguel Vazquez (32-3, 13 KOs) vs. Mercito Gesta (26-0-1, 14 KOs) - for Vazquez's IBF lightweight title
*Prediction*
Gesta is Top Rank's hand picked star. He isn't a bad fighter, but he's also nothing special, IMO. He doesn't do anything great, and does a lot of things very well. He lacks closing power and lacks excitement all together when he fights. Vazquez, he's your hand picked guy to be there for Gesta. His boxing ability will be a bit of a hurdle for Gesta, simply because of the reach, but I see Gesta winning a decision to take the IBF title.

-Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KOs) vs. Michael Farenas (34-3-4, 26 KOs) - for vacant WBA interim junior lightweight title
*Prediction*
This isn't as bad a fight as some think. Farenas has been fighting for a while, and all over the world against decent opposition. He fought Uchiyama last fight out, but a clash of heads spelled the end early. Gamboa is coming back after 15 months of inactivity thanks to promotional this and thats. He looked to be in amazing shape though, and I don't see him having any issues. He might get sent down in this one, but once he adjusts, I see him coasting down the stretch to a decision win.

-Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KOs) vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KOs) IV - 12 rounds, welterweights
*Prediction*
Don't really care about Manny fights anymore. Boring and most of the time it's Top Rank just trying to hype another fight because they won't do business with GBP. For the sake of a winner, I will take Marquez.

When I first heard Pacquiao and Marquez were meeting for the forth time I wasn't happy about it but now after being brain washed by 24/7 I'm pretty excited to see how there forth fight plays out. Their rivalry reminds me a little bit of the olden days when fighters used to meet even more then three times. I'm not to excited to see Pacquiao in this fight I'm more excited to see if Marquez can pull this one off. All three of there fights have been pretty good and very close but in reality I realize there is a good chance that the forth meeting will be the least exciting of all their meetings but boy if something different happens like either of them proving to be a clear winner or knocking the other out that will be high drama. Not getting my hopes up for a classic but I'm still content to see how the fight turns out. I'm hoping Marquez wins but overall its best if Pacquiao comes out and looks great winning making there still some hope of the super fight between him and Mayweather.

Just watched the live weigh in for Pac Marquez. On top of JMM looking much larger than I have ever seen him Manny looked much more trimmed down than usual. As a Pac fan I'm hoping the size disparity isn't evident in the fight and that Pacquiao bouncing between 154 and 147 doesn't show too much. Both are special fighters tomorrow is going to be another great night of boxing.

I am very excited for this fight. Both guys seem to be developing a respectful dislike if you will for each other and they know each others style very well and both are promising a convincing win.

I think tommorrow night is gonna be a great fight from the first bell, both guys want to close this chapter of their careers with an explanation point and I think we finally get a war in a PPV Main event

Pac never bounced between 154 - 147. Pac has weighed 147 only once in his whole career, last fight. Besides that he has never been above 145.75. Marquez looked bigger on top, but Pac has much bigger legs. Weight will never be an issue when these two fight. They just match up with their styles.

My predictions for the night:

Fortuna is going to KO Hyland. Kyland is like Paulie, decent boxer but has no pop. When Fortuna realizes Hyland can not hurt him he will go in for the kill.

Gesta is going to get the decesion over Vazquez due to him yelling every time he throws a punch.

Gamboa is going to KO a game Farenas. Farenas is an experienced fighter but he has never seen the speed or power of a Gamboa. Gamboa is going to be out to make a statement.

Pac vs. Marquez - To be honest, I can not come to a conclusion who is going to win. I think this fight gets back to the war of the first 1 which will be quite entertaining, but i don't know who that favors at this point. Its clear that Pac is on the down side of his career. He has not had that killer instinct and his power has seemed to disappear. No KO's over his last 5 fights aftyer he was dropping people left and right. Marquez on the other hand has only lost to 2 fighters in the past 6 years; pac and Floyd. If Marquez can match the activity of Pac than he has a much better chance to get a decesion. Pac has the ability to win rounds just based on his movements even though he may not be landing. Marquez has to match this. Marquez should not become the total agressor as he would be leaving his comfort zone, but when he was mildly agressive last fight it benefitted him a bit more.

If Pac can not KO Marquez then I am taking Juan by decision.

Ah so you're right, it's been awhile but I forgot how much Pac actually tipped the scales at for his bout with Margarito and I also had myself thinking he fought Mosley at light middle and not welter haha. Thanks for the clarification. Anyways, at the end of the day I hope there is a clear winner regardless of who it is. As much as I like the way these two fight eachother it's time to move on.

That was quite the fight, and quite the punch. Pac never saw it coming. If he survives that round, I think he eventually would've stopped Marquez or at least pulled away from him, but he got overconfident and got caught.

I agree, Manny got caught with a perfect punch in a fight he was winning. He got too aggressive looking for the kill.

Great fight for the sport though a War in a PPV main event. I hope they have a 5th fight now

Pac Man walked right into that one.He pretty much knocked himself out.I don't know Mike. Not sure if I can say what would've happened if Manny got up the way this rivalry has gone. But JMM took the decision into his own hands, and out of the judges hands.Though they all had Manny ahead 47-46 after five.Which I agree with.He threw a solid straight right that Manny walked right into. The replay from behind Manny of the punch really showed his head being compressed in for lack of a better term.Lights Out!!!

Can I also ask a favor of all the boxing fans out there. Can you please remind me not to watch an undercard that features Miguel Vasquez....I've watched his last two fights and remembered that I said I would never watch him fight again after the first one...

I don't know how to say knockout of the year in Mexican, but holy ****ing **** we have a knockout of the year and on the grandest of stages.

The punch he never seen coming, and walked right into... quite literally.

It was an awesome fight, and even though I wasn't looking forward to it, I loved watching every second of it. Seeing Marquez drop Manny earlier, then get dropped, rise up and do that... it's boxing. Only in boxing.

I'll recap the card a bit more later, but, my god what a punch.

Good article

Marquez earns his moment, floors Pacquiao in stunning fashion

LAS VEGAS -- Juan Manuel Marquez spent nearly half of his decorated career in star-crossed pursuit of the win over his greatest rival that eluded him at every tortuous bend.

He'd lost two contested decisions to Manny Pacquiao after settling for a draw in their first fight back in 2004. Even as Marquez amassed Hall of Fame credentials over the past decade, it was Pacquiao who blossomed into a crossover superstar and global phenomenon, adding world titles at 135, 140, 147 and 154 pounds to the four divisions he'd previously conquered, winning election to Congress in the Philippines and being named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. It was for Marquez a doomed crusade as anger, paranoia and time encroached on the 39-year-old Mexican -- bottoming out with a split-decision loss in last year's third meeting which so many ringsiders believed Marquez won -- that would have driven lesser men into retirement's cold comfort.

Yet with one heat-seeking right hand on Saturday night, Marquez stamped a definitive conclusion on a rivalry that's spanned 42 rounds over seven years and three weight classes -- and laid waste to the white whale that had come to overshadow his accomplishments, among them seven world titles in four divisions, over two decades in the hardest game.
