Been at work so missed it, must say that I'm mildly impressed with that.

Great goal and effort by Ibra. I am a huge Ibra fan and that game was a coming out party for a guy who struggles on an international level.

The USA game was nuts as well, great to see the young kids getting a chance to play. The future for the USA is incredibly bright. Gatt and Gyau are going to be stars on pretty much every level I can think of. Incredibly amazing that the US is able to get some quality results from games like Russia, Mexico, and Italy. I think I am more excited for 2014 then 2010.

I've gotten to see him a number of times when he plays the US and he dissapears from time to time. Some games he is invisible. However yesterday really added to his name. I didn't think there was too much more he could do to break through.

That Mexes goal was unreal! I saw that Di Matteo got canned as well, Chelsea fires from the hip more than any organization I know. 9 managers in 9 years and it will probably be 10 once they start throwing money at someone else.

Rafael Benitez is the next unfortunate victim.

Speaking of Chelsea, the FA have thrown out John Obi Mikel's claims of racial abuse against referee Mark Clattenburg, and have charged Mikel with misconduct over the incident. No charge brought against Chelsea for lodging a malicious complaint against an official unfortunatley..

I'm not a fan of Benitez replacing Di Matteo. Benitez has been chased out of town everywhere he's managed lately.

Not sure its all his fault, he was an awesome manager early on in the 2000's, but since then he really has not found much success. Then again who knows, Chelsea fired AVB and Di Matteo won the UCL for them.

I just really don't like Roman Abromonvich and his attitude toward the team. His ego just seems to drive all of the moves that team makes. Even Arsenal a team still looking for a title this decade are still fully behind Wagner 100%. Stability goes a long way in a franchise.

As far as the Mikel incident its a shame, and I don't think Mikel should be charged, but I understand why they are doing it. It's what he thought he heard and he may have been right. Unfortunate for a young kid like Mikel.

The Arsenal one is a poor comparison he needs to go. His teams get worse every year he's got nothing new to offer, they need some fresh blood if they want to win anything.

Also Mikel shouldnt be charged he didnt report or hear it Ramires is the one who "heard" it and brought it to everyones attention.

Don't ever call a football team a franchise. It goes against everything that fans of the game believe in and a football team is a million miles away from a franchise.

Why shouldn't Mikel be charged for what he did? Every player in the country would be charged if they behaved like that. Why is Mikel any different?

Don't know why you wouldn't call it a franchise, but not the first time you've flamed me for the "wrong word choice". It's the same thing in my eyes, Manchester United alone is a world empire to think otherwise is foolish and is indeed a franchise.

As far as Mikel wasn't saying he shouldn't be, but was saying he probably heard wrong and ran with it. Why wouldn't he? He's a black man and he's bound to hear it especially with the garbage you hear at some of these games. Just like the West Ham fans chanting "Lazio" at the Tottenham game.

Don't worry too much about him he's Welsh who with the collapse of their rugby team have literally nothing left to live for.

Great news Red Devils fans! (Hopefully it happens finally)

Quote:
Manchester United are monitoring Wesley Sneijder's situation ahead of the January transfer window, ESPN has been told, as it emerged on Friday that Inter will consider selling the Dutch playmaker after contract negotiations stalled.

The Old Trafford club came extremely close to signing Sneijder in August 2011 only for the deal to fall down over financial demands. But with United's hand now strengthened due to the player's current difficulties, ESPN understands they are strongly considering another bid with Nani possibly going the other way.
Quote:
In addition, Ferguson has apparently accepted that his midfield needs bolstering and feels that Sneijder could play in a more withdrawn role that would enable United to better use possession and funnel attacks in a superior manner.

United have also been heavily scouting PSV Eindhoven's highly-rated Kevin Strootman and are one of a number of clubs watching Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, although Arsenal are understood to be favourites if the young forward were to leave Selhurst Park.

So basically Man U is going to stick with the "Buy everyone we can" plan, such a shame. Youth programs can do amazing things, such as La Masia for Barça, AFC AJAX and The Bayern academy(granted Bayern has had to purchase).
