Football finally embraced goal-line technology as FIFA's lawmaking panel approved two systems for use in matches on Thursday.

FIFA will introduce goal-line technology at the seven-team Club World Cup in Japan in December, and plans to use it in Brazil at the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup, secretary general Jerome Valcke said.

''We want to make sure that the systems at the World Cup work at 150 percent, not 90 percent,'' Valcke said.

FIFA will use both Hawk-Eye and GoalRef systems in Japan, after they won ''unanimous'' support from the International Football Association Board (IFAB) panel, Valcke said.

The Barclays Premier League is expected to adopt one of the systems - which are expected to cost up to $250,000 per stadium - during next season.

As a QPR fan i am very excited about whats gone on in the off season so far. Getting Fabio on loan from United, Park isn't the same player he once was, and had a terrible season last year. But he is a good addition to the midfield. And there is plans for a new stadium.

Saw Michael Bradley transfered to AS Roma. Awesome for him! Hopefully they figure out this Dempsey to Liverpool thing soon. I saw there was a proposed swap for Andy Carroll. Not sure Liverpool would do that...

Saw Mancini basicly state Man City will finish 3rd or 4th. I doubt that. No one really improved other than Chelsea, and that hurts to say.

I'd really like to see Munich back in the CL finals though. Felt horrible for Robben but he continually sucks on the grand stages. Ribery and Robben will proably never win a World Cup so this is their best shot at a major trophy.

Arsenal have brought in a lot of player whether they improve is a different matter, United have tried to address that CM position with Kagawa who has looked impressive in pre season and most importantly they're a very young side (minus Giggs and Scholes) who are only going to get better.

I thought Lucas would have been an awesome add for United however that PSG swoop was wild. I keep seeing RVP going to United but that doesn't make much sense for Arsenal...

I would say Arsenal have done a good job bringing in players problem for them has been holding it together and being able to beat the bigger clubs.

Honestly though I think this year is a much bigger crap shoot, because no one really is standing out from the pack other then Chelsea and Man City, but even they could be knocked off.

I had to celebrate that win last night. So many great pictures and scenes after the win. Huge for US Soccer now with wins in Italy and Mexico in the calendar year. Future looks bright!
