How about Clint Dempsey! Scoring his 50th goal in the EPL!

Thanks

We were quite a bit adrift at a couple of points this season, however a 14-game unbeaten streak at the end of the season, after a managerial change (that I didn't at all agree with at the time, I agree with it now though) saw us come through. The background to the scenes in that clip are that our city rivals Sheffield United were one point behind going into yesterday with a considerably superior goal difference - we needed to win to guarantee promotion. We did that with a 2-0 win, while Unted only managed a 2-2 draw some 300 miles down the road in Exeter..

There was a crowd of over 38000 at the game yesterday, which is unprecedented at League One level. Magnificent sight and sounds.. very rare you see Hillsborough full these days.

Absolutely loved seeing the cameras show Fergy at final whistle at the swamp today. He looked pissed right off, looks like his boys forgot it was squeeky bum time!!!!

Blackburn Rovers fans stage a unique protest in last night's game that saw them relegated:

Chicken invades Football pitch Blackburn vs Wigan...

The background being that Blackburn got bought by Venky's, an Indian poultry firm. Needless to say, thay haven't proven popular amongst the Ewood faithful.

Just sad to see Blackburn fall so fast. Also a shame to see their owner's lack any real leadership. Looks they insulated the club with their friends. Its as much a business as it is a sport.

Unique protest and even crazier was that atmosphere at the end there. I felt like the Blackburn faithful were going to be burning down the stadium. Feel so bad for them.

When their owners brought them its rumored that they didn't actually know you could be relegated from the Premier League

Oh my... I'm pretty sure even the most novice fans know that. Really embarassing that the owner of the team doesn't know that.

that was insane. Looked like United were even celebrating until they got the call that City had put in the 3rd.

I thought the last round of matches of last season were remarkable, with Blackpool at one point winning at Old Trafford, only to snatch relegation from the jaws of safety. Unbeleiveable scenes, I bet Roberto Mancini is a releived man, I don't think he would still have been in charge at City tomorrow if they'd rolled over 2-1 against a 10-man QPR.

As an aside, Joey Barton, while a talented footballer, is a complete idiot.

WOW, what a brilliant day of football. Woke up at 10 to catch the games with a few of my American mates and they were blown away and finally realized why im so passionate about the beautiful game.

Well done by Espn, FOX and even NESN for showing all the games in America, what a day!

Simply an amazing day of football..... I cant begin to explain the emotional roller coaster I went through this morning being a City fan.... I have seen them at their low times and now to see them win the EPL title, it is a great feeling. Gonna soak this one up as long as I can.... I am sure I will suddenly find more City fans coming out of the woodwork, all aboard.

Just awesome to see a great finish like that. Even if it meant seeing United finish 2nd. Hell of a finish by City, just when it looked like they were about to choke again. Awesome, awesome football.

And as said on another blog I follow one day I hope as an American I can fell the pride that the Argentina fan base felt yesterday with Zabaletta and Aguero scoring huge goals. Hopefully the reports of Bradley to Inter and Dempsey to Arsenal or Liverpool become true.

Now on to the Champions League Final and Euro 2012! Awesome, awesome football ahead!

Predictions for the UCL final? Taking Bayern to win in a pretty entertaining game. Final 3-2 Bayern.
