Those songs give me chills when I have a reflection on our educational system, especially the first one. It just shows how it takes out of you what makes you special and it replaces it with some conformist BS.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall (HQ) ...

"The Logical Song" (Supertramp) written...

Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter.
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision.
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions.
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph,
and sail on the steel breeze.
Come on you boy child, you winner and loser,
come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!

So many songs make me reflect on so many things, it's hard to pick just one. I've moved a ton of times and songs usually remind me of different places I've lived. I'll add this one (American Pie) because it was my first "favorite" song, back in 1972.

I've always thought this song was pretty sad but ever since my dad was killed last February I can hardly listen to it. I feel like I learned so much more from my dad than anyone else in the world and at 32 there still is so much more I have to learn especially now that I own my own house. Not sure if the song has a totally similar message but that's kind of the one I hear in it.

Sorry for your loss and it is a great song too, I can see why it would be hard for you to listen to, it gets me still.
