It was a great concert - I got there half way through though... had to work until 8pm that night - as work wouldnt let me leave.

I thougth their show a few years back was better though.

I missed Mandatory Suicide, Angel of Death, Hell Awaits, Raining Blood, and a couple others. Made it there though for Seasons, Black Magic, Expendable Youth, Skeletons of Society and a few others.

I was beyond pissed when they were done Manson came on. I after about 10 minutes into the Manson gig - as it wasnt worth it. Many others headed for the exits when he/she came out as well.

I thought I posted a review on this...

Edit - nevermind - completely spaced it.

I saw the Young Dubliners last night at the Hard Rock and I was a little disappointed. Everytime I have seen them in the past it was in a dingy bar or concert hall. Last night I figured it would be at the "joint", but it was out at the pool, so the atmosphere kinda sucked.

The band was great as usual, played all the songs I wanted to hear and threw in a couple new ones. Outside the atmosphere of a gay pool, it was a good show

Sounds like a anti-climatic night. I would've been pissed. Work always fuks up things lol.

Stephen Marley @
The TLA, South Street, Philly

Wow... easily the best concert I've been to. It was general admission and we managed to get about thirty feet from the stage and centered. The band came out and they went right into it; Stephen came out and the crowd lost it. From start to finish it was just good music, not much messing around at all. When Damian came out to do a few songs with Stephen the show really took off. I've seen some great bands, but never such a display of pure musicianship. He did a few Bob songs too, including No Woman No Cry, which was definitely a highlight.

Most likely I'm seeing the Roots in Allentown next Thursday.

Got a couple of shows coming up in September....

Motorhead, Misfits and Airborne on 9/6 at Fillmore.
Foo Fighters postponed show on 9/8 at Red Rocks.

Buddies went to the Offspring at Fiddlers Green last weekend, while I was out of town and had nothing but great things to say... Definitely wish I could have been there for it.

I was thinking about going to that show too, if I don't go to Rock Jam in Grand Junction.

I went to CrueFest last Sunday and had alot of fun. All the bands performed and sounded great. There were a few moments I wish I didn't take my 8 year old, but oh well. He thought Tommys tittie cam was great. I posted links to that video in the Crue thread if anyone wants to check it out.

The Roots are great live, tons of mary jane at their shows...

July 26th
Projekt Revolution Tour

Small Stage was in order
Armor for sleep
Hawthorne Heights
10 Years
Atreyu

Main Stage in order
Street drum corps
Ashes divide
The Bravery
Chris Cornell
Linkin Park

Chris Cornell was awesome . I did not like Ashes Divide, thought it was just boring. Songs were good just stage show was boring.

On small stage, I had softball tourney so I missed the first 2. I think my team lost on purpose to get to concert since it was next door.
10 years and Atreyu was great.

Overall great show Linkin Park also was great. Very hot at the outdoor event

July 28th
Poison with Dokken

Great concert

Pearl Jam at Madison Square Garden
June 24
Seats: First Bowl facing the stage

Set List:
Set 1 Hard To Imagine, Save You, Why Go, All Night, Corduroy, Faithful, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Down, Unemployable, Given To Fly, Who You Are, Whipping, 1/2 Full, Even Flow, Present Tense, Daughter, Do The Evolution

Encore 2 No More, Crazy Mary, Comatose, I Believe In Miracles, Alive
Encore 3 All Along The Watchtower, Indifference

Great show, very rare to see a third encore from them and it was great . Indifference was an awesome closing song (their usual is Yellow Ledbetter). Crowd was very good and loud, even for a PJ concert.

Pearl Jam at Mansfield Tweeter Center

Incredible energy at this show... awesome 1st encore... one of the best PJ concerts I've been too. A lot of rarirites played in this one which I liked.

Dave Matthews Band at Susquehanna Bank Center
June 3
Seats: Lawn

Set list: Dreaming Tree, Gravedigger, Grey Street, The Maker, So Damn Lucky, One Sweet World, Jimi Thing, Crash Into Me, Money, #41, Sister, Everyday, Corn Bread, Louisiana Bayou, You Might Die Trying
Encore: Hey Hey My My, Tripping Billies

Solid show. I was kind of out of it for the first half of it since we had been tailgating since noon that day but still enjoyed it. It started to rain after Crash Into Me and then really pour during the song after that so we had a chance to move a lot farther down. Tim Reynolds came out to do Sister which was awesome. They were about to come out for a second encore but called it after a few lightning strikes in the sky.

It's at a place called Crocodile Rock. I've never been there but heard it is basically your typical small general admission theater. Love those kinds of shows, it's very personal and everyone is down to smoke up with you.

Arrowfest (Rick Derringer, Alan Parsons Project, Night Ranger, Styx, Boston) at the butterfly pavilion
June 30th
lawn

Great outside festival. All day long it was freaking scorching though. I wasn't expecting much from anyone of these bands except for boston. But there wasn't a weak link in that show. Rick Derringer was good, he can still tickle the guitar stings with the best of them. Alan Parsons was amazing, i was a little skeptical cause he has always been known as a master of studio sounds rather than live, but when you know your stuff you know your stuff, they were fantastic. Night Ranger was fun, Jack Blades is a good showman, they were all up there just jamming on those guitars. And they brought out Tommy Shaw and did a little Damn Yankees. Styx, until this show, i was not a fan of Styx in the slightest, but sometimes you need to see someone live before you can really appreciate them. They were extraordinary, they sounded great, and brought the house down. They didn't do any of there sappy crap like babe or best of times, the were sticking to good old high energy solid rock, they even did a good cover of i am the walrus. After seeing this show, i can put Lawrence Gowan as one of rock's top performers and showmen, definitely the best amongst keyboardists. Boston, while ive always wanted to see them with Brad Delp, i obviously am never going to. Even without him they did a great job. All of those people are fantastic musicians. They did a lot of real good instrumental work. And they found a good vocal replacement for Delp. For coming in with no real expectations for what i thought was a bunch of washed up groups, this turned out to be worth much much more than the 15 dollard i paid to get in.

Steve Miller Band
(Joe Cocker opening) at Red Rocks
July 31st
General Admission

In my eyes, you just can't beat Red Rocks. The great thing about red rocks is there is no bad seat in the house, even id your way up top, you can see over to rocks and get a great view of denver and the mountains. And its not hard to move up close to the stage no matter what your ticket says. I like being around the middle section where you can just see over the stage to get that view and your not that far away from everything. Joe Cocker, he is well past his prime, his voice is completely gone, the whole time i was just waiting for him to get off the stage, i think he might have done more Beatles covers than his own music, and none of them were good. Steve Miller however, was great. It was pretty much what you would expect from him, good fun jam music. I don't think there new member makes a good impression with the group though. But other than that, Steve Miller was a good concert.

Well I am finally seeing Dave Matthews Band. I have avoided it, simply because I get tired of hearing about him and having people telling me I should go. Taking a three night trip with my cousin that will take us through his buddy's place in Ocean City MD, and eventually down to Virginia Beach. I will finally get to see the band with currently the most annoying fan base in all of music.

But I love a good jam so I'm sure I will enjoy it.
