Went to Farm Aid 2012 yesterday, me and the wife had a great time, Neil Young was a bit disappointing though.. John Mellencamp started off really raspy voiced but has an excellent band. Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds were awesome. Jack Johnson just gained two new fans in me and my wife. Willie Nelson was great but the show ended kind of weak.

Rush tonight in Bell Centre. I'm getting in the mood actually. At 145$ for a f*cking ticket it has to be good.

Went to see The Who at the Consol on Sunday, great show and they had an awesome opening act called Vintage Trouble, but The Who rocked the place. Played all their smash hits at the end and boy do they still have it. Songs sounded like they were coming off the radio in your car. Just an electric show, and another band I can cross off the bucket list!

Rehashed was awesome as always. The Rebel Spell was REALLY impressive. Propagandhi was great as well- so much energy. I wonder if some of the fans of the band look into the lyrics and the causes that they stand for. Propagandhi's old stuff is awesome, but some of the new stuff and more politically charged tunes are iffy.
Nonetheless, awesome show. Just awesome.

Any death metal fans here? Didn't think so. Anyhow... Saw Nile in Worcester Mass Saturday night play 2 hours of old school death metal. Great god damned sh*t. The funny part is I had a funny conversation with 3 guys who drove 6 hours down from Montreal to the show, talked about Pk, Marchand, etc.. Great show, if you fancy death metal that is...

Doubt too many people read this thread, but anyways... Saw Clutch, the Sword, and Lionize at House of Blues in Boston Sunday, and it was a hell of a show!!! Should anyone who likes these bands get a chance, you should see this show! Very worthy 25 buckos spent for the ticket.

I saw Beady Eye at Abbey Road studios on Monday. Beady Eye is Liam Gallagher and the rest of Oasis new band minus Noel Gallagher. Im a huge fan of Oasis and my boss at work hooked it up for us to go. Im def more of a Noel fan but Liam sounded better than he has in years. They played an Acoustic set of there new cd BE wich drops next week. They wrote some decent songs and like I said Liam, who im my opinion lost his voice at the end of Oasis, sounded better than he has in years. People say he cant sing Acoustic but he proved some of them wrong. It was a great experiance for me as a big beatles fan to go inside Abbey road for the first time and they put on a solid show.
If anyones interested

Thanks for that. Big Oasis fan here, which we have talked about before. I saw Noel's HFB here in Philly a year and a half ago. The man still puts on a great show. With Oasis, it was never about flashy effects or pyrotechnics. It was always about the music. Both new bands seem to be the same way. Admittedly, I'm not much of a Beady Eye fan, but this set was pretty good. Agree about Liam. Too many sweets ruined his voice during the middle Oasis years. He's come around a bit but he'll never be '94-'97 Liam again. Other than that, I think he was just fine singing acoustic sets over the years. There are acoustic versions of songs like Live Forever and Whatever out there on YouTube that are phenomenal.
Other than that, it's pretty awesome you got to go to this. Looks like a pretty intimate setting and it must have been awesome to see it in such a historic studio.
