I saw them last night and it was the best show I've ever seen. I have no idea who could put on a better show than those guys or be more energetic. Angus was phenomenal and Brian sounds just like he did twenty years ago.

Crue Fest 2 last night at Fiddlers Green. Missed the Charm City Devils, and just caught the end of Drowning Pool. Theory of a Deadman played all their radio hits which had the girls going nuts. Godsmack kicked ass and was def. the highlight of the festival. Crue was so so. They played the entire Dr. Feelgood album in which a few songs are just lame live. Lots TnA and saw a couple fights. My digital camera kept taking a sh1t so I didn't get the footage I was hoping.

Judas Priest next week at Red Rocks.

Jeff Tweedy getting into a friendly fight with the fans over glowsticks was also pretty funny. Played my favorite Wilco tune, "Poor Places" which is quite rare and now I see why... one of only 2 or 3 songs all night that just didn't translate well from studio to live, but overall an A-performance from one of America's best bands.
I would kill to get fed with "Poor Places" live.

10th time I've seen them. Obviously one of my favorite bands. Seeing a concert at Radio City was weird but decent. Saw them last year at Jones Beach and they only played for an hour, and didn't play "Pardon Me." Was hoping for a decent setlist and less "Greatest Hits" lists.

Nice To Know You
Wish You Were Here
Anna Molly
Stellar
Megalomaniac
Love Hurts
**********Acoustic
11 AM
Drive
Talk Shows On Mute
Dig
**********End Acoustic
Oil and Water
Pistola
The Warmth
Quicksand
A Kiss To Send Us Off
Warning
Let's Go Crazy

Are You In?
A Crow Left of the Murder
Aqueous Transmission

Oh well, the setlist wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear. Ive heard all of these songs live except "Oil and Water" [which is one of my favs] It was nice to hear "Dig" acoustic as well.

Highlites
All the harder songs, "Megalomaniac, "Crow..." and Let's Go Crazy
Hearing "The Warmth" live is always a plus
Brandon actually playing guitar on "Pistola"

Lowlites
No Pardon Me?
No songs from the bands best album ever; SCIENCE
No deep tracks, covers, or surprise songs

Still a decent show overall.

Saw Rise Against in Toronto this past Friday and thought they put on an amazing show.

Their setlist was great and played with tons of energy. If you're a fan, go see them.

5.Long Forgotten Sons
6.The Good Left Undone
7.Chamber The Cartridge
8.Drones
9.The Dirt Whispered
10.Audience of One
11.Savior
12.Blood To Bleed
13.Survive
14.Dead Ringer
15.Prayer of the Refugee
Encore:
16.EverchangingAcoustic
17.Hero of War
Encore 2:
18.Dancing For Rain
19.Give It All
20.Ready to Fall

My best friend was at Crue fest in fiddler's too. He said that Godsmack was the best band of the event as well, which surprised me to hear.

I wanted to fly out to see Priest and Coheed at Red Rocks so bad. I would have if my f*cking car didn't crap out. I have no doubt that Priest will be good, I really really am curious about a live Coheed and Cambria though.

I just realized i mixed up priest with Heaven and Hell. Coheed is opening for Heaven and Hell next week at red rocks. I have to admit i was a little drunk last night.

Both shows should be awesome though, it's Red Rocks after all.

How was?

Emily Haines still in the group? I saw them a while back and they were pretty good. When Haines was with Metric, all I could do was stare at her. She was/ is friggin hot.

I'd like to go to that show too but then again if I could afford it I'd live at Red Rocks all summer. White Snake is opening for Priest which I could care less, I just want my boy to see/hear British Steel live.

I'm pissed I missed the Supersuckers a week ago. they played a small but cool Gothic Theatre near my house. Aerosmith/ZZ top made the list of "no go" this year too. The Mile High Music festival had a few bands I would of liked to of seen also. Maybe I'll start a thread "Concerts I wanted to see but didn't".

I am thinking of going to Copper Mtn this weekend to a free guitar workshop with lots of good guitar players performing all weekend, along with other activites.

I'd be posting all the time. Big head todd at red rocks was probably the big one for me this summer. Journey was another one.

Aerosmith was so much fun, ZZ was real good too. Billy Gibbons was struming his guitar with a bottle of Jack at one point haha.

Went to the Folk Fest here in Edmonton. I didn't give a crap about most of the performers. I was there to see Steve Earle.

He was good.

Did you see this? Aerosmith postpones concert after Tyler's fall

Quote:
STURGIS, S.D. – Aerosmith's Steven Tyler suffered head, neck and shoulder injuries in a tumble from the stage at a South Dakota show, a concert spokesman said Thursday, and the audience thought it was part of his hip-shaking act until he didn't get up.

Tyler, 61, fell several feet while entertaining the crowd by dancing around as the sound crew replaced a fuse that blew during the song "Love in an Elevator," said Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the Wednesday night concert. An amateur video showed him spinning around before falling off the stage.
