Went to the Green Day/ The Bravery concert last night, only cause a friend had free tickets...

The Bravery sounded pretty good, but Im pretty sure the lead singer was a ***. He limp wristed around most of the time, but the music sounded good.

Green Day put on a pretty good spectacle, fireworks, flames and all. Armstrong brought some kid up on stage to play Jesus of Suburbia (??) on the guitar and he did ok, but it sorta seemed like they turned down his guitar or something, cause he was reefin pretty hard on the strings, and it didn't sound like in over the amp. Armstrong brought a few other people up too, kinda cool to see. Lotsa new songs and only a handful of old ones.

Aerosmith was everything iv'e always hoped it would be. Amazing show! They almost had the perfect setlist. The only song they didn't play for me was Rats in the Cellar. A nice mixture of their old stuff, and newer stuff (a lot of it i enjoy, but i know most don't). When it came to their newer stuff, they didn't play any of their crappy ballads except for cryin' (which is acceptable compared to some of their others imo), it was just good blues and rock n' roll.

Paul McCartney at Citi Field. Very good show and just getting a chance to see the Beatle legend was a incredible feeling! Little disappointed that he didn't sing " Maybe I'm Amazed and Silly Love songs" played too much new stuff for my liking but did jam out to Jimi Hendrix's Foxy Lady which was great! Also, a cameo by Billy Joel, a nice rain storm, a serious contact high really set the pace....

Saw Wilco and they did a great job... 2:30 set list and excellent, high-energy renditions ofa lot of their best songs. There was a section of dueling guitar wars where the guitarists would take turns jousting each other with solos which was particularly awesome. Jeff Tweedy getting into a friendly fight with the fans over glowsticks was also pretty funny. Played my favorite Wilco tune, "Poor Places" which is quite rare and now I see why... one of only 2 or 3 songs all night that just didn't translate well from studio to live, but overall an A-performance from one of America's best bands.

Black Label Society in Toronto last night was awesome, Zakk made up for the "short set" in April and played a solid 2 hour show, tons of fights, but not where I was (security told me it was probably the busiest night they've had for altercations), made some new friends and believe it or not , I didnt get drunk! (had to drive but admittingly very hard to resist "temptations wings" and not drink at their shows, everyone is smashed)......

"Cycle of Pain" opened and they were suprisingly good....

Why BLS doesnt play to bigger crowds, boggles my mind, Zakk is truely the "King of Metal" and had everyone's utmost attention and adoration from the curtain drop!

I'd go see them 3x a week if I could, A+.

Good to hear that BLS show was bad ass. I'll be seeing them in Mankato in a few weeks.

I cannot ****ing wait for that show.

From what a few have said, its going to be one of the better shows this year.

Zakk is "The God", you just wait man, when that curtain drops, your adrenaline will be full on, I just hope he plays long enough, last night Mudvayne and another band were slated but couldnt get over the border so BLS played a longer set.

Here's a song from C.O.P.

Saw Green Day in Pittsburgh the other night. They put on one of the best live shows I've seen. Billie Joe Armstrong is an absolute nut case, and they played a lot of their older stuff which surprised me a little bit. I was supposed to be going to see Slayer next week but I'm scheduled for a 16 hour shift at work and can't get out of it.

Saw Social Distortion w/ Civet and The Strangers.

Didnt see The Strangers. Civet was ok. Really cliche and kinda tried to be like Brode Dahl, complete with growl and the Australian accent, which the lead singer didnt really pull off, but you can tell she wanted to have that "twang" for lack of a better term.

Social D was, agai, unreal. Mike Ness knows he's a god on stage. Johnny two- bags looks like he's getting really old. They played alot of their old stuf and a tune from their new cd that will be released sometime next year, if memory serves me. The only thing about the show was Ness seemed to get annoyed with the crowd. Saskatoon has to be one of the worst places for a large mosh pit. People were fighting and a girl even got knocked out in a fight between two guys. Kind of a joke.

Good show though. Mike Ness is unreal!
