The first "metal" song is the best metal song.

Some good songs brought up, but ACDC or RATM are not metal bands or songs IMO.

I always loved this one:

I rarely get down on metal anymore but Megadeth and Pantera got me through early high school (with a side of Metallica and Fear Factory).

So any "hit" by either Megadeth or Pantera is as good as it gets for me.

But I'll throw this out there because aside from the odd cover of "Anarchy in the UK"; "So far, So Good... So What!" was my favorite album. And this just got me going knowing all that was to come. Now that's a intro song!

Megadeth - Into The Lungs Of Hell - YouTube

Then this was always my favorite Pantera offering.

Ok

Way, way to many to name but some I think are the best

Megadeth-Holy wars
Metallica-Creeping death/Disposable Heroes
Iron Maiden-Hallowed/Revelations
OverKill- Years of Decay/Skullcrusher
Helloween- Helloween/Victim of Faith(original)
Suicidal Tendencies- How will I laugh tomorrow
Hallows Eve- Hallows Eve
Queensryche-Roads to Madness/Neue Regal
Judas Priest- Painkiller/Dreamer Deceiver
Slayer- War Ensemble/South of heaven..

At one time or another they all vied for my top spot

No,i wasnt in it. The movie was filmed in Landover,Maryland. I saw Priest in Worcester,MA and Providence,RI on that same tour. Thats how we rolled back then, tailgating and sh*t. Hell,i remember puking in the parking lot in Worcester,MA before Metallica blew Ozzy of the stage in '86. Good times those were. And yes,"Heavy Metal Parking Lot" is pretty cool,i get a kick out of seeing how sh*t got done back in the day!
