Senior year was extremely uneventful at my school. I was so fukking sick of high school by that point, especially since I already knew where I was going to school. My only goal was not dropping below a 2.3 GPA so Arizona State wouldn't withdraw their offer for enrollment.
Other than that I laid really low with friends. For the most part, I stopped sneaking out of the house and doing that sort of crap, especially since I had my own car at that point and didn't have to steal my mom's to roll around with friends smoking weed and chasing girls. I did participate in one school event, the unplugged guitar show. I went up, sang my two covers, and saw my parents walk in at the back of the auditorium as I was about to get off stage. My parents were still walking down the aisle when I stepped back up to the mic, and everyone stopped applauding to hear what I was going to say: I'd like to thank my parents for showing up just as I finished playing. Awkward silence except for a few claps and cheers. Another highlight of my year was my transexual cousin coming over from Germany to study for the first two marking periods. She was a hit with the guys because they love the accent and the whole German girl thing, but they didn't know she was really a guy. One fool who had like, half days every day fukked him. 12th grade was pretty much a boring bust though. HS in general basically blew.

I wish my high school was set up so that we could just not take electives, but alas that wasn't the case. Anyway, my classes were still very easy and the only ones I had to put some work into were calculus (which was still pretty easy) and AP Biology (which I just sort of gave up on half way through the year since I knew I wasn't going to get college credit for it).
We had open lunch since sophomore year, but being seniors, we had cars so we could drive around the area and go to pizza places, sandwich places, Chipotle, Burger King, etc. The only places that were in walking distance to our school were Wendy's, McDonald's, KFC, Dunkin Donuts, and some weird diner place, so it was nice to have some better variety to hit up. We even went to White Castle a few times which was a much further ride. We did it a few times and were able to get back to class in time, but a few times we were around 20 minutes late to our next class (which in my case was just gym). As for the whole social aspect of high school, I didn't think senior year was different than any other year to be honest. No one ever really threw parties in high school (I'm sure there were some thrown, but nowhere near the frequency that I've seen at college). I heard of a few parties being thrown, but usually by people I didn't know too well nor that I had any desire to know. I honestly didn't care for most of the girls in classes in high school. I just remember not really trying particularly hard in any of my classes senior year. There was no point in trying after October when I had sent in college applications, and even less of a point in trying once I started getting accepted into schools. I remember getting reprimanded in pyschology class (BS elective in high school) for not paying attention and just drawing in my note book. I still got A's and A-'s on the tests so I wasn't sure why she was hating on me (besides my not paying attention and showing no enthusiasm whatsoever, haha). I pretty much did nothing interesting at all senior year. Pretty much just drove to school (way better than the bus), paid little attention in class and still got decent grades, then drive home. I didn't even bother doing my homework at home. I had an early study hall and I'd just do my homework then for that day.

I also sarcastically corrected my Statistics teacher on the first day of school when she tried to pronounce my last name. It six letters long and phucking phonetic, I don't know how teachers screwed it up so much throughout the years.
Anyway it's no wonder she sent me to the attendance office to sign in late even if I got there seconds after the bell rang. I could be literally two doors down the hall, so close she could see the outlines of my pecker in my jeans, and she'd point me away. I was also late about 130 times combined in 11th and 12th grade. I served many Saturday detentions and a few in school-suspensions. I also got suspended out of school for not going to in-school suspension because I thought it was bullsh*t to be held out of school as punishment for not being in school. I made sure to tell the vice principal that when I argued with him on the phone. I should mention I was also a dickhead to authority in high school?

I miss that place, even the asshole teacher, college is boring as all hell and in Canada (it's different here than USA, here University is king and is completely different) it's just a dead end that some are lucky enough to transfer to University from. All we've got now are boring teachers, high tuition rates for horrible service and teachers who cancel their only class (only 2 ****ing hours) of the day when they get a slight cold or an unrelated union calls a strike and they "can't cross a picket line." Yeah, I bet ya fat bastard! Did I mention they all love affirmative action and abortion and if you were to argue against either you'd be suspended? Oh, and he made at least 20k doing summer and night school too, and summer school is now "free" so he was leaching even more when he really hated kids (and reminded us of it every day). ****ing asshole :P Last edited by Stevens Lindros; 11-29-2012 at 12:08 AM. |
