This is probably the most its let up all day, more coming though. The snow is weighing all the tree branches down a lot. You guys in eastern ny should start getting it very soon.

The snow has started in Halifax. It's going to be a nasty 24 hours 30 to 40 cm's.

I was suppose to go to a junior hockey game tonight in Halifax but the game has been rescheduled because of a blizzard.

Killah , with the blow you guys are getting I can understand the game being reschedualed , they said on the weather net this morning you guys had winds up to 70 mph , now if that's true , that's what I call a real BLIZZARD not the piddley thing we just had with the 30 mph winds.

My town got off easy. Got moderate amount of snow, nothing overwhelming. It's supposed to get above 30 tomorrow!

We got about 2 - 2.5 feet here in northeastern CT. Started snowing yesterday around noon and stopped today around noon. I was at work driving last night until about 8 at which point we closed. Boss was driving an FJ Cruiser, I had a borrowed Subaru. The Subaru was an absolute beast in the snow. Had to stop driving eventually because the Subaru was just set too low to the ground to even be able to clear the amount of snow that was building up on every road.

Here's my driveway from earlier this morning:

Our snowblower worked harder today than it ever has in its life. Took a good 2-3 hours to make the driveway accessible.

Looks ilke a real nice sunny day , temp is minus -12c/10f , rain in the forecast for the next couple days , with all this snow that could cause some real problems , flooding can be a major problem ..

We got about 30 cm's or 12 inches of snow in a 24 hour period.
