Minus -7c/19f with a wind chill of minus -12/10f , light snow falling we could get 2-4 inches before it is over , the wind has died down so that helps some with the driving and drifting , but you still have to watch for the slippery spots , they are still out their ..

We had a good 8 inches of snow , my neighbor came over and cleaned my driveway last night , he thought I was sick because I had not done it yet , I was waiting until the snow stopped , it was the first time he ever did something like that , I used to do their driveway all the time when he was not living at home , his mother has cancer and is a widow , he moved back home after losing his job just because he could not find work , has been living off his mother for two years now , times are hard all over work in his trade is hard to find (he is a machinist) , he could be working for minimum wage but wont , he told me that he just cant bring himself to work for $10 dollars an hour , this is a man in his forties , but who am I too judge , I was never out of work in my like , I even cleaned stables at a race track rather than draw unemployment insurance , I was not too proud to work for any wage as long as it was honest work , times have changed I guess ..

Played golf in shorts today, it was in the low 70's and a little overcast.

18 out, actually supposed to warm up to mid 20's. Some rain today, no snow in forecast.

Temp and wind chill at minus -14c/6f , we are in for some real bad **** coming our way starting tonight with freezing rain , than heavy rain to the tune of 50 mm or two inches over the next couple days , that's all I need , my basement flooded out on Dec.20 with the last heavy rain , just got the new carpet laid down of Wednesday , my new Furniture on Friday , dont need that kind of trouble again ..

Well we where spared the freezing rain , instead we had 4 inches of heavy wet snow , now we are getting rain that will last for the rest of the day mixed with wet snow ..

The 12 inches of snow we had has been reduced to about 3 inches with the mild temp and rain we have had overnight , we are in for the real heavy rain today , 25-50 mm one to two inches over the next 24 hours is what they are saying we will get , they say the catch basins just may not be able to keep up with the melting snow and all the rain combined , just glad we have had a fast melt in this area over the last 24 hours , we just may be spared the worst of the flooding ....

It was 57 last night, all the rain washed the snow away causing the creeks to get pretty high. Now its 63 with gusty winds and temporary downpour. Supposed to drop 40 degrees ans get hit by some lake effect tonight.

The temperature skyrocketed! It's was a beautiful day before heavy rain came. 54 out.

This is the third day of rain , not a speck of snow to be seen anywhere , the temp is at plus +15c/59f breaking the all time record for this date , the warm spell is not going to last very long , the temp is going to plunge overnight , it could be in the minus range by the time I come home from the hockey game tonight ..

The heat wave is over , the temp dropped overnight , it is at minus -8c/17f with a windchill of minus -13c/8f , the rain has turned to snow , some highways are being closed as I do this post because of whiteout conditions , we are supposed to get a couple inches , with the wind at 50km / 30 miles per hour it's not going to make my drive any easier ..

Almost a carbon copy of yesterday with the exception of the lake effect snow , the streamers are reaching all the way from lake Huron right across the entire length of South Westwen Ontario with whiteout conditions between Woodstock and Toronto being the worse area right now , some of the 402 from Woodstock to Hamilton is real bad also ..

It was terrible this morning. I was sliding quite badly. Got about 4 inches of snow. "Feels like" negative 4.

We have a couple inches of fresh snow on the ground making the streets slick , had one slide into the back end of my van this morning , no damage just a slite bump but I gave the woman driving a peice of my mind , she slid a good thirty feet before the bump , just driveing too fast in bad road conditions was the problem .

The fresh snow is being blown around by 20mph west winds making it hard to see at times , the temp is at minus -10c/14f with a wind chill of minus -20c/-4f , the wind makes it feel a lot colder ..

5 out but feels like -6. not too bad. might get up to 20 later on tomorrow who knows!
