Doesn't look like we are going to have a white X-mas this year , raining , temp is 12c/53f and going to stay that way for most of next week , they are saying we could get some snow by Thursday but I am not counting on it as I have a lot of hockey games out of town to attend in the next two weeks ....

Our "snowy" weather arrived right on time yesterday afternoon... As rain...

Foggy and wet today too. No real precipitation though. actually 34f out too. So not only are we not gonna get our snow, the snow cover is going to be gone again.

Well it's still raining but they are saying it will change to snow tater in the day , the forecast says we can get 5-8 cm/2-3 inches of wet snow by tomorrow morning , they are getting dumped on north of us right now and it looks like that is where it is going to stay , my son is coming over to get his snow-blower out of my shed this morning just in case ..

30 mph winds and rainy. Thunderstorms on the way and under a tornado warning.

You in the Southtowns Shaud? They're saying possibly a foot or so, but not too much elsewhere. Personally I hope the lake effect machine revs up. I want a white Christmas.

Snowing, light and medium at times. Everything is covered already with about half an inch and it's only suppose to get heavier as the hours go by. We shall see.

Excuse my stupidity but I don't know what places are considered "Southtowns" so I must not live there haha. I live about 90 mintues away from Buffalo.

30 out "feels like" 21. Acoording to weather.com tomorrow we could get hit with 3-5 inches of snow.Good thing I'm not traveling anywhere.

The Southtowns are the suburbs and towns south of the Buffalo area that traditionally get hit with the heaviest lake effect snows( Orchard Park, Hamburg, Boston, Colden, and down into Ellicottville etc).

You are worried about 3-5" of snow??? And you are a WNY'er???

C'mon Shaud, Schitty's right...3-5 inches of snow is nothin' for us Western NYers!

I live outside of where the normal lake effect bands hit. Although I will be in Rochester for Christmas, it looks to be a white one.

In the hills we got a couple inches of wet, heavy snow and fog this morning. By the time I dropped into Ithaca, there was nothing on the ground and rain.

Last night was odd, the wind was whipping at 7:00 like they said, a nasty band of sleet moved in, then about an inch of snow fell. Went outside at midnight to take a leak and it had melted already. This weather is very strange. We are at least a foot under our average snow fall for this time of year.

I know it's hippy-ish in Ithaca.... but no indoor plumbing?
