Snow snow snow and more snow

Already had an inch overnight and the forecast this morning was for 4-8inches of "lake effect" snow. Pretty darn close to that 4inches I'd say. Windy too. Hiked up the trail near my grandparents with my brother and sled down a hill a few times until we were frozen/tired. Couldn't do much of that back in the desert!

Got our first substantial snow fall. 28 out but feels like 16 becuase of the wind. I really do hate snow...

Well we didn't get the snow they said we would get , just got a dusting , to the north of us they got hit real good and it is still coming down .
One friend that lives in Owen Sound said they got about 8 inches and it is still coming down , was going to go up their for the hockey game tonight (my friend has tickets for me , the game is a sellout) but decided to stay home , told him just to sell the tickets , he will have no problem getting more than he paid for them , this game is for first place overall in the OHL , the Knights are one point in front of the Owen Sound Attack the team they play tonight ....

We got a little more snow overnight , about an inch , its the wind that makes it look real bad , it is out of the NW at around 30 miles per hour (50km) , the snow is just enough to make whiteout conditions in some open places ..

When all was said and done shoveling my grandparents wheelchair ramp this morning I'd say it was 8-10inches deep. Was very icy out yesterday on the roads. Low 20s for highs with random flurries so far today and the same expected Monday and Tuesday.

Shouldn't be seeing the ground until spring now.

A mix of sun and cloud with 60 percent chance of flurries. After some warm weather things have started to cool off. 0°C/31°F. Getting my winter tires put on the car tomorrow.

Well the snow we did get is pretty much all gone , but that creates another problem , pooled water has frozen creating some real slippery sections on roadways , just have to watch out for shaded sections on the roads , they can be where the ice forms , most young drivers dont know the hazards of winter driving , they dont know how highways can ice up under an overpass or going over one , or on a bridge when we have a fast melt then have the temp do that sudden drop , or shaded areas of a roadway that is shaded by trees or buildings , dont like to see them learn the hard way , but sometimes that is the only way , some of them never listen when they are told of the hidden hazards of winter driving ..

Temp this morning is -3c/26f with light snow flurries , could be worse , to the north of us they have 15cm/6inches of snow that is being blown around by NW winds ..

Periods of wet snow ending late this evening then cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries. Amount 2 cm. Wind north 20 km/h becoming light near midnight. -2'C/29'F.

We had some freezing drizzle over night , made for some tricky driving early this morning , they are calling for snow flurries later this afternoon , cant see that happening as the temp is on the rise , rain is more likely ..

I thought I had better edit this post , it's snowing like the devil out right now , I can just see the house across the street ..
