Truck/Jeep Guys

Any jeep guys here. Ive got a 2012 wrangler Oscar Mike edition with 4 in lift, SB XRC front and rear bumpers with winch, tire carrier and SRC rocker guards. 35x12.50x17". Just added dual steering stabilizers and quick disconnects today.

Just wanted to see if there were any other jeepers here and what you had. Or even avid off roaders!

I have a TJ. *cough*real Jeep*cough* Its a silver 2006 4cyl 6 speed manual soft top with half doors. Nothin' special, stock ride heighth, no lift on 31s. JK's really aren't my cup of tea but I'd definitely take one over a minivan if i had a family. My TJ absolutely rolls through any snowstorm and mild trails. The Jeep platform is so great with its short wheelbase and gear ratios.

Had a 2003 with 3.5 in lift and 35". Miss it. It was a beast. Sold it a few months back and pikced up the JKU. Having our first kid in a few months so needed something with a little more room and wanted something a little more stable haha. I do miss it. The JKU is a bear in the trails sometimes, bit too long but i couldnt give up having a jeep.

I don't blame ya man, It's a Jeep Thing.

Rig looks good. Did you buy it new and start throwing mods at it? I searched for a while to find a stock low mile, manual TJ. Obviously I wanted a Rubi but this was the right price at the right time and had to do it. I do regret not holding out for the straight 6 but the low end torque on the 2.4l isn't completely terrible. So glad I didn't buy a previously lifted Jeep. Problems often arise due to some ra-tard lifting it and not aligning it properly. What makes it an Oscar Mike Edition? Painted flares and what else?

Your old TJ is tits. Love red TJ's.

Thanks. I bought the TJ used but bone stock from the original owner. An older guy who just drove it to work. I modded it all up myself. The 4.0L is deff a beast on the trails.

As for the Oscar Mike, they are now known as the freedom edition. Oscar Mike is a military term meaning "on the move". Its basically a sahara but with different decals and sweet interior, different bumpers and wheels (which i changed anyway ), heavy duty custom floor mats which are a must for a jeep haha.

Heres a link. Im happy with it. Nothing too special, just a few little things different about it. Wish I couldve went with a Rubi but they are way to expensive now.

That'd be sweet, I do a little mudding/off-roading and I'd love to see other 4x4s on here.

I used to own a '93 YJ 4cyl. No mods, had 30" BFGoodrich All-Terrains on it though. I loved it because it was beat-up when I got it. Not damaged or a beater, but not one of the new shiny ones that you want to take care of. I went off-roading numerous times with buddies in high school, and the thing was a beast. I got it stuck quite a few times too, nothing serious that another buddy with a winch couldn't handle. For not have lockers, or a lift, the thing could definitely handle it's own. Got rid of it I'd say about 2005 as it was just one thing after another needing replaced. It was an awesome (non-practical) vehicle in my opinion.

I know very little about Jeeps. Great thread though.

Always thought the old Jeep TJ's looked badass.

For all you jeep owners, just curious how many pairs of sandals you have and how often do you wear them with socks?

Just got rid of my 97 TJ and can't wait to get another one. I like rebuilding them but I draw the line at YJ's, a jeep has to have round headlights.
I had a 1951 Willys CJ3A and although it was an original and different looking, the 97 and up jeeps are just better.
