Anyone else following this case? What are your thoughts of it? The picking of the Jury started this could be one of the biggest cases in a very long time due to the whole racial aspect even if Zimmerman is Hispanic. Any law enforcement peeps in here with a chime in, im not sure what the law goes as far as the whole neighborhood watch goes?

I've said it before; the kids' previous reputation doesn't mean diddly within the confines of what happened that night. And that seems to be the route the defense is taking the little bit I've heard on the subject. He'll be rotting in a cell. But either way I won't care. Doesn't affect me. I'm just saying if I was a betting man... He gone for a long time.

Why don't you explain to us, in detail why you feel that Mr. Zimmerman should be acquitted of the charges levied against him?

regardless of martin's past, zimmerman killed an unarmed teenager after being told by a 911 operator to not follow him. the guy should be in jail for the rest of his life.

So he's not allowed to use Stand Your Ground defense I see. Throw him in jail and throw away the key. Could this be the next Casey Anthony case, clear guilt and the criminal walks away free?

Unfortunately, you have an altercation that resulted in a death. Problem is that there are no actual witnesses to the actual shooting, and it is the word of the defendant verse an unarmed victim. Everything else will add fuel to the fire, to include the race of the participants. However, how do you say it was or was not self defense when there are no actual witnesses? For that reason I say not guilty. The prosecution needs to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was murder. The defendant says it was self defense and does have visible physical injuries.

wouldnt they have to prove zimmerman's life was not in danger?

This stand your ground crap just gives cowards more opportunity to blast people away for no reason. Defending your home from a burglar/criminal is one thing, but following a kid who looks "suspicious", after a 911 operator told him not to then shooting him to death is totally different. Same goes for Michael Dunn who shot up a car full of black teens, killing one, because their music was too loud and he felt threatened by them although no guns were found in their car. He can rot in jail, or be used as gator bait.

I'm not saying he is guilty or not but this part doesn't matter. 911 operators are not law enforcement. They can try to suggest someone to do something but their orders mean nothing.

it doesnt matter? seriously?

im not implying 911 operators are law enforcement, but if you are calling 911 b/c you believe there is an emergency, dont you think you should at least do what the operator tells you to do? its not like he was told by the check out cleark at the food store not to follow him, he was on the phone w 911.
