I'm not sure if anyone here is familiar with this story, but here's how it goes.

Todd Hoffner is a very successful division 2 college football coach at Minnesota State.

In late June 2012, his three small children, two girls aged 9 and 5 and son aged 8, were all taking a bubble bath together. They got out grabbed towels and asked their dad to film a "skit" the made up in the tub on his cell phone camera. After dancing, the dropped the towels, exposed their bottoms and ran as Hoffner chased them playfully. They showed his wife, who chuckled. Hoffner never watched it again and thought he deleted it.

Fast forward to October. Hoffners phone had technical issues, so he turns it into the schools technician for repairs. The tech finds the video, turns it over to school authorities who then call the police.

Later that day he was escorted off the field, arrested for "making and possessing child pornography. A further investigation into his home computer and personal life found no child pornography and he has never been charged or accused of any crime in his life. Social Services said none of the children show any sign of abuse, physical or mental.

He is now awaiting trial on paid leave. Scores of students, past and present have stood up for Hoffner as well as many local townfolk.

Any thoughts? If this going to far because of Sandusky, or just better safe than sorry?

The guy seems innocent and only shared the video with his wife.

Yeah I think it was hockey doc who posted this already in the football forum.

There are no parallels between this and the Sandusky abuses. It's a little weird kids that old were bathing together in my opinion, but it's certainly not illegal and I don't think Hoffner did anything wrong. It's bullsh!t what they're putting the guy and his family through.

Assuming the technician didn't know Hoffner and his family at all I can't blame him for reporting it. School people have to report suspected abuse or face penaltys like people who worked with Sandusky. However, when it comes to light that the children are his own chidren and he's not a creeper this shoud have been dismissed long ago.
