Yeah, you are really adding to the debate there, FCM. You never had anything to say except desperate attempts to ride Sputniks weiner.

Now go grind your axe some more, then chop off your typing hand please.

Libya has arrested 50 people for the attack on the american consulate and they claimed it was al-Qaeda planning the whole thing.

The majority of embassies were not exactly attacked from what I read/saw on the news, more like there were mobs protesting and sometimes throwing rocks or burning US flags... sadly nothing new.
However these were not directly promoted by any of these governements, but I have some doubts on Sudan and a couple of other countries.

What to do?

I agree with RC, the drone strikes mentioned are the most efficient way (although not perfect) to deal with terrorist groups heavens without deploying soldiers in any country.
Strikes in Yemen and Afghanistan/Pakistan border have been way more effective than ground operations so far.
Anyway you cannot really stop angered mobs when the next film anti-Islam or more Mohamed cartoons come out.

Yes, I think that many innocent people have been needlessly killed- but that's a 2-way street. I also think that their style of warfare lends itself to civilian casualties. I take no pleasure in the deaths of innocent people...

Do YOU think that the US "controls" the oil in the middle east?

Do you think that our support of Israel - who has been a staunch ally- is a big part of why they hate us?

Do you think that it was in the best interest of the citizens to rid them of Ghaddafi and Hussein?
I'm not talking about some hypothetical "havoc", I'm talking about the US involvement.

What "two way street" involves defending the country against an attack by a super power. did the US get attacked by Iraq? Did the citizens of Iraq have anything to do with Al Queda and Iranian funded soldiers fighting off the Americans? Do countries with limited firepower have any other option then resort to guerilla warfare?
Iraq is a fuked up country now. Previously it was ruled by a dictator which is about right in keeping all the religious factions at bay. We should never have entered that country.
It is in no way correct to say the citizens of Iraq are better off now. It's none of our damm business how countries are run and by who.

As far as the question about if we "control the oil in the middle east". I dont know if we do. But the US sure tries. Oil is a commodity that we have to chase we consume 25 percent of it and make 5 percent. Contrary to the nut jobs on the right we dont have vast reserves of oil just waiting to be tapped.

And yes Israel has a lot to do with the hatred of the US in that part of the world. Our relationship with Israel is not subject to change anytime soon.

I posted on this topic before Sputnik came in. You quoted 3 of my posts. I posted 13 times.

You want me to stop posting by chopping my hands? Looks like what they do in muslim countries... Please tell me more about these American values of freedom of expression.

No one managed to prove my points false. C2 started caring about useless details instead of arguing on the ideas. Pretty much like saying I'm right into my convictions. At the opposite, your points are being proven false by Sputnik and I like to turn the knife in your wound.

Apparently hyperbole and sarcasm elude you.

Much like Sputnik, myself, C2 and everyone else.... what you posted here is largely opinion. How do you prove that "false"?
