Illegal Atheists?

Not sure if this belongs here or maybe the politics thread. I'm just wondering what people think of this...

In Kentucky, a homeland security law requires the state’s citizens to acknowledge the security provided by the Almighty God--or risk 12 months in prison.

What happened to America?

Obviously, neither of you read the article.

The law requires that plaques celebrating the power of the Almighty God be installed outside the state Homeland Security building--and carries a criminal penalty of up to 12 months in jail if one fails to comply.
Unless you work at the Kentucky homeland security building, I wouldn't worry about it.

Or calling for people's deaths if they show your God in a manner you find unflattering?

That's a flimsy law. I'm proud to be American. Living in the most advanced, powerful, and privilege country in world however when I see how much religion separates people I get irate. I'm a Christian and believe in God but forcing government buildings to acknowledge him is communism. This shows how broken the court system is seeing the law is still on the books.

fascism, not communism.

I don't get this... there needs to be a plaque? one plaque? or does everyone who works there need to make their own plaque? 12 months for who? I don't understand

It's a Christian country. and they are as nutty as the extremists in the middle east.

Most people are conditioned lemmings.

There are no fire escapes. God's will be done.
