Got a 12 pack of Yuengling Lord Chesterfield ale, and a 12 of Yuengling Porter in the fridge now. Both good beers at a good price. Yuengling is the best bang for your buck in this area. You get beer that actually has a flavor, unlike your Bud, Coors, and Miller products that taste like carbonated corn water, and its fairly cheap. Usually about 24 bucks for bottles, but it always goes on sale so you can get it even cheaper sometimes. I think you can get a case of cans for like 17.99 but I'm not really a fan of beer out of a can.

Seen some places around the area have Yuengling at $14.99 in cans for it. Can't beat that. I bought some Sierra Nevada though for about $25. I'll take it.

Been trying to get back into Landshark, but my Dogfishead kick is coming back. Think its that winter weather.

I was in Munich some 2-3 weeks ago and there I discovered some of the best beer I've ever had. This one brewer in particular, Augustiner, is the local Bavarian people's favorite and I fell in love with 2 of their brews:

First was the Lagerbier Helles:

Light-in-color lager.... very crisp and refreshing.

And then my personal favorite was the Edelstoff:

Also a lager, but it was very, VERY flavorful. It was even a little sweet. Not sure how to describe it properly as it was different than any beer I've had back home.

If you ever see any of Augustiner's products at the liquor store, by god, please try them.

I've been a huge fan of Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat ever since I first tried it a couple years ago. It's not available too commonly around here, but everyone where I work is addicted to it and always brings back a bunch of cases whenever they travel to the Midwest.

Well today, for the first time, I tried one of Boulevard's other brews: the 80 Acre Hoppy Wheat.

This stuff is amazing!! It's very similar to the Unfiltered Wheat, except with a very hoppy taste similar to that of an IPA. It's quite a unique beer and boy was it yummy!

I was in Rhode Island this past weekend, and naturally had to pick up some Gansett to bring back home. Went to a packie that had a Seasonal Tall Boy sampler pack that included their Lager, Cream Ale, Bock and something called Fest Lager.

I had the Bock and the Fest last night. They are both very tasty! The Bock had a nice maltiness and crispness to it. The Fest was a solid Oktoberfest style beer. The Bock weighed in at 5% ABV while the Fest was 6.5%.

The funny part is that this "RI" beer is brewed in my hometown Rochester, NY by the Genny Brewery. Regardless, it is good stuff. I love me some Gansett, especially their Porter, aka "Dahk".

Y'all are fancy! I get me a couple of 6 packs of Old Milwakee tall boys at the gas station next to my house and I'm happy!

Their black and tans easily make it in my list of my top five beers.

I ain't that fancy, I do enjoy me some PBR's and Genny tall boys more frequently than the good stuff. I like all kinds of beer, except Budweiser.

My grandfather drank Narragansett back in the day. I actually like the lager, buy it often. A 12 pack of bottles runs about $8.99 here. Strange how it is brewed in NY though.

The Lager is good stuff! I like the whole line, and it usually packs a bit more punch than most "commercial" beers. Loading up on Gansett is one of the highlights of my trips to RI.

Yeah Narragansett is pretty good, especially for the price.

Anyway, I bought a Sam Adams variety 12 pack a week ago and have been enjoying that. I really like the Alpine Spring and Double Agent IPL.

I'm a cheapskate but I love the good stuff once in awhile. There's very few beers I wouldn't buy for the right price and no beer I wouldn't consume for free.

Speaking of Alpine Spring, picked up a 12 pack of it, and I'm enjoying a few pre gamers now! One of my favorite seasonals, other than Harpoon's "summer brew". Good stuff.
