Lately I've been sticking with Guinness but I've also picked up a few six packs of Muskoka Cream Ale. It's a great beer to have if you're BBQing.

Tried Sleeman's Silver Creek Lager on the weekend, didn't find it to be anything special but neverless an easy drinking beer.

Banana bread beer? Ewwww! I wouldnt even try that sh*t. Bought a 12 pack of Harpoon Summer Beer today. Brewed in Boston, super smooth and crisp. Hits the spot! Harpoon plays second fiddle to Sam Adams, but i swear, thier brews are just as good! Plus a couple bucks cheaper a 12 pack also. Good stuff;try some.

acdcrocksno1 - that link doesn't work.

For any guys in Canada/Ontario, if you like Guinness give Mill Street's Cobblestone Stout a try. It's by far the best local stout I've tried so far.

Quote:
We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pore. This is the same system that draft Guinness uses. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and chocolate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

Southampton Biere de Mars is a good one for the season. I'm not sure what your tastes are other than stouts but it's a good Spring-ish saison style that isn't extreme and most people can enjoy. Readily available in Philadelphia; not sure about Canada.

As for stouts, Stone Imperial Stout is a Spring release as are a few of the Southern Tier coffee stouts.

And then there's always Sam Smith Oatmeal or Founders Breakfast which I'd imagine are readily available to you.

Was at a buddies last weekend and had a Guiness. Not sure what kind, but there was a plastic thing in the bottle. I think it was supposed to be a stopper, maybe, didn't care cuz it tasted like shit anyway.

If it is what I am thinking it was it was a ball and the ball supposidly adds flavor or something of that sort.

And Guiness is delicious.

It's called a widget. It's only in Guinness cans. It's a nitrogen filled ball that dissolves the CO2 and allows it to have a huge creamy head like a Guinness draught would have.

I like Guinness too but there are much better stouts out there.
