You're the one anointing a beer as "King" that is rated in the 13th percentile of beers worldwide and I'm an idiot? Ha ok.

You're also seemingly clueless to the fact that there is an awesome craft beer industry in this country, hence, your ridiculous "If I have to drink domestics I'll drink piss" comment.

Although he could have phrased it better, tim13 is right. I didnt really understand how GOOD beer could get until I moved to Germany. I always thought stuff like becks was top label, but I couldnt have been more wrong. While the craft beers here are good they still pale in comparison to real German beer, but either way if you think becks is anywhere near the top rung of the beer ladder you have a lot to learn.

For everyday drinking I go with the Sam Adams group of Alpine Spring, Summer Ale, Octoberfest and Winter Lager. More expensive and higher in alcohol I like Victory's Golden Monkey. Most Belgiun beers are awesome, Chimay(blue label) is the best beer I ever had but @ $95 a case it's not in my wheelhouse.

Just went grocery shopping. I usually don't stray too far away from BL and that type, but I bought some Sam Adams Cream Stout. Actually kind of surprised that I like it. Looks like a Coke and tastes like chocolate milk (kind of). Im not too sure how to describe it. But if you are like me and tend to stick with Miller, Coors or BL, give this a try.

That may be, but with a mail in rebate I can get a 30 pack of Old Milwaukee for less than a 12 pack of some fancy stuff, maybe even less than a 6 pack!

Ha fair enough but Old Mud is 4.5% alcohol while the fancy stuff I drink has between 7% and 12%.

A $60 case of 10% beer gets you 240 percentage points of alcohol, whereas a $20 30 pack of Old Mud gets you 135.

Old Mud still works out to be cheaper per alcoholic volume in the end but it evens the analysis up a little bit from a cost basis.

But in terms of taste and quality, there's simply no comparison.

I think Summer came out today so you can try it out soon. It's a bit more zestier than the Spring.

I actually just came back from the store and picked up a 12 pack of the Summer Ale. It was on sale too ($17.99 down to $13.99).

I also picked up a 6 pack of Bass and just had one. Very tasty. Will try Summer Ale later today.

Just picked up a 12 pack of Beck's Dark, love it,dont care what anyone says about it. Good stuff, yum! Still looking for the Sammy A summer, havent seen here in NH yet. Also, another Boston brewer,Harpoon, puts out a great summer. Been drinking alot of Sammy A's Alpine Spring, some damn fine brews. If im having a cookout/bbq,its usually Coors Light,or Busch Light, fill the cooler with 60+ of that cheap stuff, nobody will complain. After 4 or so,they all start to taste the same anyway,so sometimes cheaps better.

There's a local gas station that has a decent selection of beers (over priced of course) that I hadn't been to because of the prices and I had em all... But happened to be in the neighborhood and they've changed their stock up. Went with Wells Banana Bread Beer. Not worth the price and a little sweeter almost candy banana taste than I expected but something new.

High Life's lined up to take over after the pint is done.

Ha, the classic "Ol' Vagina".

I don't usually drink beer in the winter, but if I do, it's generally BL.

Summer's coming up, so I'll be buying the usual BL, Corona, Moosehead, Heiniken.

What are the thoughts on Grolsch or Stella?

Last weekend my bro and I wanted to try something different so I bought Stella and he bought Grolsch. Both tasted like horse piss mixed with Robatussin to us, but it might have been due to us being half in the bag from the night before....

Not a fan of Stella. Weird taste, although that could just be me.
