2012-not the movie
I was just curious to see what you all had to say on this supposed Dec. 21st 2012 shyt. I dont see it ever happening. I'd have beileved 100% of it if theyd have predictied the end of there own culture. and that movie is making everyone at my school talk about how that is exactly whats going to happen...yeah ok..

I put up a vid about this in "What are you watching 2". A major solar flare is supposed to occure at that time. NASA has been going on about this for some time now. I have no idea about the movie, haven't seen even the trailor for it but have read about this solar flare.

i think there's too much that has been lost and/or interpreted by others to have anything informative to add on this. it falls right along the lines of nostradamus. people take things they see and try to make meaning out of them and any little connection makes them correct.

I saw something somewhere that said the original Mayan prediction said nothing more than there would be "a change." It's all bogus.

Y2K was supposed to kill us too. All we got out of it was a gimmick for Chris Jericho.

Why would they predict the end of their own culture? Their culture most likely ended due to disease, food shortage, war, ect. The Mayan calender isn't based on anything that happens on earth.

I'm not saying anything will happen, I just think that's a poor argument.
