It's rude to interrupt someone but on the other hand,the comedian was supposed to talk about Emmit Smith, not the famous people , around him. Since the comedian wasn't on topic and was floundering by himself I see nothing wrong with Fox coming in.

When you do a roast like that you always talk about the others on the panel first and then get to the main person. If that was indeed a roast type thing.

I've seen this before and for those of you that have never heard of this guy there is a reason, he's horrible and needs to quit. And he's not new like the title of the video says, he'd been around for a while when this happened. This guys is one of the most unoriginal and pathetic comedians, if you want to call him that, to ever step foot on stage, he's one of those that relies on doing the same old tired black guy bull**** routine that thousands of other comedians have already tried and failed at. Foxx more or less called him out and did what everyone else was thinking, he was way out of his league here and deserved every second of it. A half way decent comedian would have at least one good come back for Foxx and he had nothing.

They talked about this on the last episode of nerdist w/Anthony Jeselnik. They said that before the roast Foxx sat all the comics down and said that it was going to be a really tough room and everyone needed to be on there A game and that this guy just laughed it off / didn't pay attention.

In the comedy world, you have to have thick skin and be able to out-think and out-wit any heckler. This guy folded at the first, tiny shot taken at him. If he had hit Fox right back with something funny, Fox would have left him alone.

I'm guessing that this guy's tired, old, and cliched act played a part in this too. Comedians don't respect comics who are unoriginal or pandering to the audience, and this guy's "I'm black y'all" act went out in the 80's.

from 2003 roast of emmit smith. the dude ended up hosting a ****ty show called comics unleashed or something and its always on tv at 4 am.
