My Game Worn Hockey Collection!

I've been collecting jerseys for close to two years now, and I finally got them up on a site that's actually good. I mostly collect fighters, so I figured some of you guys might be interested. Check them out if you want, most of them I have matched to fights and stuff. My Godard was worn when he jumped off the bench to fight Haley during the famous Isles/Pens Brawl

Awesome collection. Did you get most of these from auctions?

Thanks man!
Most are either Ebay or Gameworn.net
I won the Avalanche Parker in the last Gamewornauctions.com auction.

Very cool.

If you dont mind me asking though, Ive never understood gameworn jersey collectors. Unless you live in a mansion, there is really no way to display them properly. To own so many nice collectibles and to have them all stuffed in a closet seems like a crime.

I collect Leaf McFarlanes and autographed pucks of my favorite players. Both of these are for the most part easy to display in a small amount of space. Also both are reasonably priced for usually anywhere between $15 - $100. Game worn jerseys usually start at $350 - $400 at least up to thousands and they are then just stored away for the most part.

I do plan to eventually shell out for a game worn Wendel Clark jersey from the 89-90 era. Im expecting it will cost somewhere between $800 - $1,000 and then have it shelled in a bubble glass display case somewhere in my house.

Good luck with the auction though. Those are very nice and all are pieces of history.

Yeah, it does get annoying sometimes not being able to display them at home, I have them in an open closet on good hangers, I take them out every now and then to show to friends and stuff, but my favorite part is just having something that I know they fought in. Collecting them for repairs and stuff is cool too. One of my favorites is my Exelby that he fought Boulerice twice in one game in and the neck is repaired all the way down to the crest, Fight wear is by far my favorite part of the jerseys. McFarlanes are pretty bad ass too. The only one I have right now is the Winter Classic Giroux that they just came out with, but if I see one I really like, I would buy it. And the Clark might cost you a little more then that. Maybe 2000.00? The market is getting a lot cheaper now though, so who knows.

You're probably right. Im no expert on gameworn jersey prices and my $800 - $1,000 est was wishful thinking.

That's awesome that you have the Eric Godard jersey from the Pens/Isles fiasco.

Thanks! I knew it was worn in that game when I bought it, but I actually got lucky enough to match a stickmark on the sleeve of Godard's jersey to a picture of him fighting Gillies in the first period.

Dude. Can I come over and wear your jerseys? I'm not that big of a homo, I promise I'll only sniff the Godard one for like a minute or two. Where do you live in the burgh?
