Mike Smith 3 Shutouts in a row 136 saves

Just something cool I found when I was just checking my fantasy hockey.

Mike Smith now has 3 shutouts in a row with 54,44,38 saves in the 3 games. Thats pretty dam crazy from a team and goalie you hardly hear anything about.

Another funny fact I stumbled upon was the Yotes former goalie Brian Boucher holds the record for most shutouts in a row with 5. Must be somthing in the water over there in Phx.

im shocked that he actually became decent. he was horrible for the lightning. part of it was team defense but he was terrible as well. good for him though.

Yotes would be hurting without that guy. He stopped 54 shots last night and I have lost count how many times their defense turned over the puck the last 5 games.

Were fortunate to play in a division that has teams like the kings that have a hard time scoring, I remember the Boucher shutout record, that started against the kings as well.

Only 1 shutout against the Kings. Nice try Kings troll. Quick has blanked the Yotes twice this year. Looks like the Yotes had a harder time scoring against the Kings.

"That started against the kings as well" Smith's shutouts didn't start against the Kings.

Since the Kings have the tie breaker with the head to head match up this season, doesn't seem like the Yotes was too much for LA this year.

Gotta write that I was wrong when Don Maloney acquired him. I'd watch him in Tampa and he was hot or cold!
Dave Tippett is a great coach also! The Phoenix team is limited talent wise and yet he has them in first place!
They have 303 points in his 3 seasons in Phoenix and it just goes to show that Gretzky was a great player but not a coach and Tippett is a great coach!
His best player is gonna be 40 in a month and yet he cranked out another 97 points with that club!

In those two years he was the backup of Turco, the Stars were a pretty strong team and his numbers although not bad at all, weren't exactly spectacular either.
With Tampa he was embarassing.

Garbage goalie with a career year.

Nah, Tampa just ruined his reputation and almost killed his confidence. All he needed was a decent team in front of him.
