I don't know of any for the NFL, but it happens in college ball. I do know that Lyle Alzado, the steroid freak he was, reportedly punched many players in the helmet though.

Dwayne Johnson tells of a University of Miami college fight that broke out between teams. And I think there has been more than 1 involving the Navy. Also, Ole Miss and Mississippi State have been in 1.

After reviewing a sideline-clearing brawl between players from Miami and Florida International, officials from both schools and their conferences on Sunday announced the suspension of 31 players -- 13 from the Hurricanes, and 18 from FIU.

Baseball, sure more bench clearing brawls, but what did the NHL have this year, 0? Every 'fight' in baseball is a bench clearing brawl, though maybe two punches will get thrown. And at that MLB must have what, 2 a year, maybe 3?
The biggest thing in these sports is "what do you call a fight?"

Shaq throwing a couple punches, in basketball, is a fight. But compared to hockey, it is a joke. Same with Baseball. You get beaned, rush the base, have a globe thrown at you, people rush the field, and maybe 3 punches thrown?

Baseball players can't "fight". Neither can "basketball" players. Hell, Shaq has an ingrown toenail and misses half a season. In hockey, you get a busted hand or broken orbital and you are playing the rest of the game.

Lol, same here, no offense, but grabbing onto someones shirt in a street fight is completely pointless. IF someone were to grab my shirt in a street fight they'd be on they're ass in 10 seconds or less.

What's the point in having a brawl when you wear helmets with face guards on.

You get lots of decent fights in Rugby, Aussie rules, Gaelic Football and the like.. I also remember years ago when in Italy watching a sport which was basically street fighting in a small sand court with about 20 men on each team, the only rule was to get the ball into the opponents net using any mean possible.. Most violent thing I have seen .. The referees were armed with sticks.. I will see if I can find it and put it up.

Please don't tell me you're training in "mixed martial arts".
What is you're main discipline going to be?

lmao i know what ur thinking.. another kid thinking he is tough pretending to be in MMA because he watches it on T.V. and plays the video game

but no i really am in MMA main training is American Kickboxing and Wrestling.. we dont really have the greatest set up and gym here.. we got one guy who is a black belt in karate but he teaches the kick boxing and we have a wrestler from the University of saskatchewan helping out with the wrestling of course.. aswell we learn Some Sambo and BJJ but not to a very high extent because we dont got any real pro's there to instruct us

we use alot of video's to do our cardio.. The Pit Workout is our fave since u getta watch this black chick in the back ground go all out and does it faster then every other guy...

Kick Boxing and Wrestling are both good bases for you if you want to get into actually competitive fights.
One thing, if you have a dirty boxing instructor in your area (i would say Muay Thai, but its hard to find a REAL trainer)
Anyways, you'er gonna want Dirty Boxing for your clinch work, just work with the guy maybe 2 days a week, and in 2-3 months you'll have good clinch work which will really help.
Also, look into Judo once you get good at Wrestling.

There are fights in the local lacrosse in town, both Junior and Senior leagues. Alot of the time they are heat of the moment, a few staged ones as in "so and so wanna go" so they square off and chuckem. Lots of the teams have guys who know each other and everyone knows who the tough guys are etc. I have noticed over the last year or so however that the lacrosse fights are looking more and more like martial arts fights. Kind of getting away from the just chuckin punches hockey style.

Many years ago I attended a few Baltimore Thunder box LAX games and it was the most violent sport I may have ever witnessed. I distinctly remember at the end of my first game thinking how many more fights there were than the NHL, and this was in the late 80s/early 90s. Enjoyable, and there were a ton of fights.

I wish NASCAR would be more lienant on suspension's when there's altercations between drivers after wrecks. It's better to use your fist instead of a weapon like their car. I still applaud Jimmy Spencer for drilling Kurt Busch in the face.

Look up Rory Smith. He played in the IHL last season and then left the league to play laX. He couldve been a top fighter in the league if he stayed. Im still pissed him and Brad MacMillan didnt have a dance.

The only thing football has going for it is, sometimes you'll get hit by 2 or more people at once.

Rugby has the biggest hits in it by far. or Aussie rules
I gotta disagree man. I think football has more violent hits. Im not saying hockey doesnt, but overall, I think football has more.
