I have always wondered this,

has a player ever been able to get 6 goals in one game?

Darryl Sittler did it in 1976, and it's happened 6 other times, none since Sittler.

I think Joe Malone has the NHL record with 7 goals.

My first favorite player and Michigan coach, Red Beronson, skated around Ed Van Impe like a pylon for six goals as a Blue.
