No you won't because if he was playing in today's NHL, Shanaban would have him suspended for life for some of those hits. One of the hardest hitters you'll ever see. Was one of the toughest players to take off his feet (when he had his head up).

Anyone know who's head he was punching to the ice at the 11:57 mark?

Also, could you imagine a player running/hitting/punching goalies in today's NHL the way he did in the early 90's? He did it without hesitation, and took the challengers on with eager anticipation. He would run over them, go over and throw them to the ice, then drop his mits. I am not sure anyone in today's game has the balls to do it, most likely for fear of serious suspension and loss of pay. He had his flaws, which became more and more obvious as his seasons went on, but the early 90's he was awesome. The best I have ever seen. The best of all around combined game. Lucic is the most similar in today's game, and (I hate the Bruins) but love Lucic's game, but Lindros would put him to shame.

An absolute beast of a player in his prime, he ended up paying the price for his style of play however.. especially his inability to keep his head up when approaching and crossing the blueline. As much as Lindros was a very physical forward back then, there was also many a physical Dman looking for a scalp.

Love the hits combined with a gloved punch to opposing player´s head

Wow, after reading what DYB said, it really is a shame that Lucic is the closest we have to Lindros these days. The NHL is a mere fossil of what it was even ten years ago, let alone in the 90s during Lindros' prime! It gets easier and easier to let go of the NHL with every video like this I watch.

We will never see play like that again as a lot of the passion has been gutted from the league. I know I barely go to games anymore and I really don't miss it all too much, but at the same time it is hard to find a sport where you could see things like this;

Devils vs Rangers start of game line brawl Mar...

Listen to that crowd. The clip is great but watching it live was even better. That would have been a game to be at.

Michael Rupp vs Tomas Kopecky Dec 30, 2011 -...

A cheap shot followed by a jumping. Very nice.

Matt Carkner jumps Brian Boye fight. Ottawa...

Avenging a cheap shot the game before. Beautiful.

All from last year so I think I will still watch if they play but just shrug the shoulders if they don't.

Yes those were all great incidents, problem is that stuff like that happens three times per year in this league

Good post pesa, but those incidents are very rare these days, and when on-ice justice like Carkner-Boyle happens, suspensions are handed out.

With all the rules it's not surprsing the lack of wildness in the league. I remember being outraged when Dubinsky got tossed. So you're supposed to let your teammates get assaulted?!?!! I agree with the 3rd man in penalty with a normal fight, not when someone is jumped.

Yeah, the league steps in way too much. I am not defending the league at all but what really matters is the team. As of a couple years ago I could barely watch Ranger games but Sather kept forcing toughness on Torts and there were a lot of watchable games at least. I still have a remote handy for every game though. I try to catch Bruins games when I can, enjoy some Flyer games though they tend to make me angrier when a player like Rinaldo is punished for throwing a hit, and liked what I saw from the Blues, Kings, and Senators. Some teams are still worth watching but anybody that buys the NHL package should rethink their priorities.

Every time I see the modern 2-5-10, I see Pronger with the shield, and Parros took care of it, and the team killed it.
