Jack Mac
Holmgren
Bridgman

were on the ice during most shifts of the finals...boy are those days over !!

They also had Bob Kelly and Moose Dupont on that 80' team, 35 straight without a loss that season to boot.
I will go with the 86'-87' Flyers with
Brown
Tocchet
Stanley
Berube
Hextall
Hospodar

Would be really interesting to find out about intra-team scrimmages with those dudes? Like did Cochrane and Holmgren, Wilson vs Cochrane, even though Dave Brown only played two games wonder if he ever tried to bull-dog Wilson during practice/scrimmage - can u get on that BS25?

With the winner probably already mentioned, though it's a tough choice between the nominees, I will go ahead and list the Rangers toughest team that I could think of.

91 - 92 roster had;

Joey Kocur
Tie Domi
Mark Janssens
Kris King
Adam Graves
Mark Messier
Jay Wells
Jeff Beukeboom
Mark Hardy
Joe Cirella
Randy Moller

All but Moller and Janssens played in the playoffs. Those two were traded during the season.

What was the Bruins best year?

1990-1 Hawks is a pretty tough team as well. Manson, McGill, Grimson and Peluso are all legit Heavies. The team also had Steve Thomas, Dirk Graham, Rychel, Russell and Jocylen Lemiux. Chelios was 2nd on the team with 192 PIM

Some mean clubs already mentioned. The Leafs had a pretty hard ass team in the early 2000's with guys like Domi, Belak, Tucker, Corson, Roberts, Nolan. I love that early 90's New York Rangers team Pesa just mentioned, always used to use them in ESPN NHL 93 to kick some ass!

I was thinking of 79-80 but it was 87-88. In both cases they lead the league in fights. 79-80 had Jonathan, Wensink, O'Reilly, Secord, Cashman, Milbury etc. The 87-88 Team had Miller, Byers, Plett, Neely, Shoebottom etc.

I know I have said it on here before so excuse me but Philly and Boston I always thought of as mirror images in both eras, some of the best games I ever saw, not just their fighting abilities but in talent level and style also, good call spiderarms
